Had a half day hunt yesterday and had an absolute blast. The hospitality could not have been better. The guides were excellent and the pace of the hunt was perfect. Plenty of birds, shot covey's and singles. Saw great dog work with a lot of style. The birds actually flew like wild birds!!! I could not ask for more. I'm going to be a regular customer.

In March 2017 I was in Douglas Georgia for a family get together and took the opportunity to go on my first boat hunt. Bennie Overstreet's Gopher Plantation provided us with an outstanding hunting experience. Each hunter had their own professional guide and the 9500 acres gave us a true wilderness feel. We harvested 2 boar and had a great home cooked lunch at the lodge. Outstanding.

The Gopher Plantation is top notch, from the late 1800's cabins, friendly and knowledgeable staff, food and really the whole setup. The almost 10,000 acres is all prime hunting, I've seen lots of deer and hogs every time I sat in a stand. This is definitely the place to go, Gopher Plantation takes very good care of you. Between Bennie and Russell ( and all of the other guides here )you have a whole lot of experience to help fulfill you're hunting goals! Tank

Seven trips to the Gopher Plantation and I still can't get enough. The hunting opportunities are plentifull and the hospitality and meals are incredible. I've never felt like a client, rather my wife and I hve always been treated like old friends. Each year the couples that travel to the Gopher with us grows and and clearly we all can't get enough because we book our reservation for the next year before we leave. To my friends at the Gopher, Take care until next year.
