While not the most updated decor, everything was very clean. We felt quite comfortable.

I've stayed at this location many times on my way to my annual stay in Myrtle Beach. This time I was very disappointed in the smell of smoke in the hallway and my room. This is even though I was staying in a smoke free room. I left the next day with my clothes and belongings reeking of smoke. I really like stopping at this location, so I hope this problem can be remedied.

Double charge for the room, clerk couldn't fix it. Now going to have to deal with it over the phone not going to go there again ever.

I stayed here last week. Unfortunately I didnt look at the reviews til after I payed to stay. All these reviews are right. The place smelt bad and they have signs everywhere, that say no smoking. But it smells like people smoke the place out. Stains on comforters and hairs on the sheets. I would fire the housekeeping and get better help. There were stains on the towels as well. No mini shampoos or conditioners and no blow dryer. Luckily I had all that, but some people rely on that, so I figured I would let it be known. It was disgusting and I wont go back.

Nasty rooms, checked in one room pulled the covers back and there was a bunch of crusty (I'll let you use your imagination) on the sheets. They then out us into another room. We got in the room pulled the covers back and the pillow was full of hair and grindgy. You can see stains on the pillow and hair on top of it. Not just strands but like someone brushed their hair and a lot of strands came out. Disgusting!!! Tom at the desk was nice and very embarrassed. I felt bad for him.

I booked this room for my mother (a local) who's air conditioning had gone out and she needed a safe place to cool off with her beloved pug Maggie (pugs are extremely sensitive to heat so it was borderline emergency with a house hitting in the high 80's). I live over in Nashville and this was the best I could do to help her. I spent most of my life in Newport and worked at a few local hotels and know most have a policy to try and not to rent to locals, they generally try to not do any favors. When I called I heard the hesitation in Tom's voice but he still helped me. He picked a great room for her that met her needs. He had amazing customer service and was extremely professional over the phone. He took the time to help me book the room for her made multiple calls when he received the reservation and didn't allow her to pay as requested he kept in communication with me until she got there, My mom said when she got there he greeted her with a warm smile. I know Maggie and mom were thankful to have a cool place to sleep and I was grateful Tom took such great care of her. Thankyou!

The building itself could use a little TLC. The desk clerk "Tom" was real nice, helpful and quick. The rooms could use a little more attention to detail in the cleanliness. The tub had been repaired poorly and had looked to be rust stains on the side. The air conditioner didn't work properly. The floor felt dirty and sticky to my feet. Now all of this could be looked over- however the beds- omg. They felt damp, dirty and just couldn't get a good night sleep. I actually put a personal blanket over my pillow so that I could get a little rest. Need new beds and linens. ASAP. Nice location and looked to be a nice town. Please update and clean as I know like myself, we depend on Motel 6 for lodging with our fur babies.

The bed was comfortable, and the desk guy spent a long time discussing options with the couple in front of me. As a woman traveling alone, I got the room facing the (cess) pool and the interstate. Don't choose the pool side of given a choice. It is one of the most expensive motel 6s around, not remodeled, and it smells. The bed is comfortable. 0 amenities.

I enjoyed my stay, Tom was at the front desk and is the epiphany of great customer service. The bed was a little hard but for the price not too bad. Thanks for a decent stay!

For the price was ok.. Really tiny bedrooms and should probably bring your own pillow.. Their pillows are cheap and tiny.. on a queen bed you only get 2 pillows.. Mattress was squeaky and back hurt after waking up.. No shampoo, conditioner, or body wash in bathrooms

Clean and quiet room. I really needed a good night's sleep after driving across country on business, and I got it at this Motel 6. Also, the staff was friendly and efficient. Very good experience over all. Will definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.

I don't expect much from simple waystations like Motel 6. This is a spartan respite from travel and feels much like fondly remembered dormitories of my youth. The bed facilitated sound sleep as did the well-insulated walls. The water was hot and the towels adequate. The lack of breakfast was a disappointment, but balanced by the unexpected amenity of a pool just outside my window. Book a room without hesitation unless you expect more than your money deserves.
