Great atmosphere for comedy! Food and drinks need an upgrade for the price! Quality over quantity: Invest in some glasses instead of child-size sand buckets for drinks.

We go to Morty's at least once a month. The shows are usually great and the venue is OK. The seating is very cramped and uncomfortable. The service is good but I don't think gratuity should be automatically added to the bill. My only advice is eat somewhere else before you go. We keep trying items on the menu but have yet to find anything good. My wife got the tacos and the pork and beef were actually cold. I got the burger minus a few things that were supposed to come on it. The queso is terrible. Honestly, Taco Bell makes better "Mexican" food.

Great place for comedy. I like that they do first come first serve seating, and they are pretty accommodating for picking specific sections. I recommend the burrito bowl, cause it is amazing, and the fish and chips, chicken fingers, all the menu items are pretty exceptional. They do have two item minimum like most comedy clubs, but it is "Items" so not drinks, which is great. I recommend the Wednesday open mics, cause sometimes a professional comic or two will drop in to work on new material, and it's just fun to watch. Sometimes you get a train wreck or two, which is a beautiful disaster, but most of the time you get some great laughs. Also, will say that Morty's seats are pretty comfortable. Great place!

Was there for the We Are Libertarians Podcast. I hadn't been to Morty's since they moved from 96th Street. I love the new location, its set up like a new comedy club.

The show was good and the food wasn't bad. Our service however, was pretty terrible. We waited over 30 minutes before we asked a different server if we could get ours. She took our order, my friends food just never came. We didn't get silverware with our food, so I had to flag down a different server again for that they had a "2 item minimum" which is no biggie, but the server never came back to refill my drink so there was a charge for something to account for the second item even though I would've wanted a refill. Then, after all this, they added gratuity to the bill, which in all honesty, she did NOT deserve.

This was my first and most likely my last time at Mortys. My service was fantastic, the drinks were great and the comedy show was hilarious. Unfortunately I most likely will not return due to the excessive heat. I may return in the winter but I literally do not think they have air conditioning. I felt terrible for my server who was dripping but so were all of the guests around me. I had to keep a menu just to fan myself it was unbearable! I had friends who wanted to come see cocoa brown but I'm going to suggest they stay home (or bring a personal fan). I need to go home and shower from all of the sweating I just did by simply sitting. FIX THE AC and I'll be back!

The review is 100% about the venue and staff and not the performers. First off we ordered our tickets online ahead of time, we were able to pick them up at will call with no problem. However, as more people started to show up they asked the people that were there earliest to move onto the patio to make room. People voiced concern that they would lose their place in line, but were reassured that they would still be let in first. That did not happen and we and many others lost their place in line, so that was a load of BS. I found the seating to be incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. They serve food and drinks and force you to buy stuff as they have an item minimum which I can't believe any place in this day and age still does. But the problem is you're crammed in shoulder to shoulder with everyone with tiny little tables and the way it's arranged, half of the guests don't even face the tables. Also, the food and drinks just really suck big time, so no wonder they have to force you to buy them. Then during the show, two females became drunk and agitated at each other during the show interrupting it multiple times and the security staff did NOTHING to remove them, at one point the girl ran up the stage towards the girl on the other side and the performer had to be the one to step in between them. Couldn't have been handled worse. I'd have to be really desperate to see a comedy show to ever go back there again.

I thought it was a pretty good experience, it was amateur stand up night they did a contest for a prize. I didn't care for the fact that the least funny person (seriously she was horrible) won because half the audience was family of hers. besides the unfairness of the competition and the drinks (just soda) costing $4.00 I had a pretty good time; would go back and recommend to anyone stopping in to see what they have going on. they do host bigger named comedians just costs a bit more

The comedy was great. Most of the seating looked great but upstairs along the side it can be hard to see the stage. More staff needed upstairs and some of the menu items were hohum.

Really enjoyed the comedy show we went to last night. No bad seats, which we appreciated as we've been to other places where seeing the stage was difficult. Service was pretty decent though it could have been better. They are actively hiring so they are aware of this issue. For the prices the drinks could have been stronger. All around an enjoyable night, and we're likely to go back.
