My first visit The atmosphere was very casual and unhurried, which I appreciated. I had the root beer brisket and it was out standing going back Thursday to take some friends.

Great, eclectic lunch menu. Excellent food. Service could have been a little more attentive. Will go back. Duck wings with sweet chili sause is excellent.

Wish I didn't have to even give 1 star.
We had a party of 8 and we waited over a hour AND they couldn't even get us seated together!
They gave us a free appetizer, but you don't get enough crackers, so we got more. They didn't even express that there would be an up-charge for more crackers.
The waitress took things from our hands. Someone was reaching for a cracker and then she took the bowl from their hand. Same thing with drinks.
The waitress had the audacity to give us an attitude by saying "Even though we don't accept reservations, it would have been nice if you called in advance to let us know that your party is coming." Even though we did call two days prior with the amount of people and the time we were coming.
We did split the bill, but the waitress got 3 of them wrong and 2 orders completely wrong as well.response / report this review -

Interesting and tasty food. Good beers on draft. Out door seating. Good service. Great for business meetings or to grab a beer.

The fish tacos and fish n' chips are amazing! They make their own pickled relish, which is spicy and tangy. Yum!

Great food. Very disappointed that I received a text from Google less than 30 minutes after visiting asking me to review my experience. Give me my privacy back. I will not be revisiting this place of business.

Great food, great service, great neighborhood feeling, great for local, small-group events. Indoors can get a little noisy on a busy evening. Otherwise, always happy with the choice to come here. Have eaten here 20+ times over past 3 years with jist a date, with a group of friends, with kids and alone, always comfortable and delicious.

The food is delicious even if I don't recognize all of the ingredients. Great local beer selection and the staff has always been friendly. I highly recommend the trivia night on the last Tuesday of every month!

The owners should spend more time developing their staff, or they could just hire people that actually have a work ethic and that care about how their actions ultimately define the brand of the restaurant and reflect the values of the owners. Maybe the owners now disregard the value of a great staff because hey - they're making money regardless, so why not do the bare minimum?
I overlooked the staff and service until I placed a pick-up order today. The woman who took my order over the phone was rude and almost immediately claimed that the restaurant couldn't be held responsible for the quality of the order because it was for pick-up. I never had a bad food experience at Shoefly before so I never expected to get what they actually gave me. I ordered the brunch hash and I received 5 pieces of burnt potatoes, large and unchewable chunks of meat, flat scrambled eggs that looked like the eggs that school cafeteria's serve - all drenched in oil. The hash was to come with a side of fresh fruit and I received 1 slice of watermelon and 1/2 of a strawberry. I know menu items eaten in-house and prepared to-go don't always taste the same, but the food that was given to me was a clear result of a staff that doesn't care to do their job and owners who don't care about their customers.response / report this review -

Atmosphere is awesome. In the basement, service is always great. But in the main lobby, I always feel like my server has something against me, personally. But everyone in my party always feels that way, too. So maybe it's just that the service isn't great. The bleu bison burger is great, though!

This is my favorite place to eat downtown. Love the atmosphere, the beer the service and the patio in the summer. Very dog friendly area. Bring a date here and you are set. Excellent food but a bit pricy. So delicious and worth it though.
