I was skeptical but boy was I surprised. We will some friends from out of town. We all had a great time. Beautiful grounds. Quiet. Peaceful. You could spend hours there looking at the plants and animals, or just soaking in the quiet. On a practical note, bring water. You will be doing a fair amount of walking and the South Florida sun will get you. Overall, highly recommended.

A nice stroll through Japanese Garden. The food is not that great. I would have expected better tea selection. Though this is a garden so I do not hold that against them very much. The waitresses were nice and though it was very busy We had a short wait time.

The gardens were great and would definitely visit again, next time during one of their many festivals.

There is a little paradise close to Miami. This Japanese garden is a place to connect with nature and find some peace. What I found most beautiful, is that it is a museum and not a botanical garden. That's why there are no labels that indicate which is the tree or plant you are looking at. It's like entering an art gallery, just go and admire the landscape. Zen art! Beautiful..Must see!

Morikami is one of the greatest cultural assets in Palm Beach County. Once you step out of your car and enter the museum, you feel you've been transported directly to Japan. The gardens are very peaceful and make you feel as if you are thousands of miles from home. The events are spectacular and a good value. Their popularity in recent years speaks to the quality of the events that they put on. I wish some events would span multiple days/weekends so that the events can be made available to more people.

An amazing Japanese Zen garden and walking paths. With a stunning set of walking paths and structures, it's a wonderful venue for the whole family.

Waking paths are over 7/8ths of a mile + sights and water features.

Traditional Japanese lunch is offered as well.

8/10 for a northerner ;) it's too hot!

10/10 for people who like heat.

Kind atmosphere, everyone is so polite. The architecture is stunning, history and culture all throughout.

I went during the Lantern Festival "In the Spirit of Obon", watching the lanterns flow down the stream, and the farewell fireworks go off during the night.

If you want a bit of fast pass service during these events they have memberships passes which last all year round (tempting).

Sorry I did not take many pictures, I was to busy having fun walking around.

Overall a very beautiful experience.

Thank you Alanna and Stephanie for making our wedding day as perfect as it was. The ceremony and reception went smoothly and my husband and I did not have to worry about a thing! The Japanese gardens were beautiful for our pictures and the museum hall was a great size for our 50 guests. It was also nice to have a good-sized dressing room for the bride and groom parties. The food by Cornell Cafe was incredible! Everyone loved the sushi bar, h'orderves, cocktail bar, and dinners. There is such a big selection to choose from! Everything was perfectly portioned, as well. The servers were also timely and accommodating. We were nervous about the rain, but the staff is ready to move everything indoors without any issue. We would HIGHLY recommend this venue for any event!

Absolutely gorgeous! Expansive and breathtaking, in their garden and museum you feel as though you've entered Japan. Away from large streets and intersections the only things you can hear are the cicadas and the creaking and squeaking of the towering stalks of bamboo."~○w○~' The staff are welcoming and friendly and there's a wide array of creatures all over the grounds. There's quite a lot to see, speed walking for an hour yielded only a quarter of the gardens and paths. There are many scenic and romantic spots, even a secluded miniature garden.

The Morikami gardens are beautiful. I wish I lived closer and could have an annual pass to visit all of the time. It's peaceful and calming. We visited during the summer. The first half of the gardens is very well shaded and wasn't hot at all. The second part got a little hot so I would definitely recommend bringing water. They have some around the gardens, but I would bring some in case! The restaurant at the gardens is also very good.

This place is absolutely beautiful, but to the couple events I went to you basically just pay to get inside so you can spend money inside. Both times casual museum goers only had access to 2 exhibits. Only worth going if you're apart of their membership.

Beautiful gardens tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. I just missed the early spring rhododendron but the late flowering bushes were beautiful. Lots of bushes and trees that I could not identify. I wish there were some identifying tags on the more exotic plants. Some downhill stepping stones might be a challenge for some people.

Museum was closed for renovation, so I want to come back to see that.

Great afternoon activity for family, friends, or some alone time. The gardens are a beautiful spot for a nice nature walk. The trail is about a mile with waterfalls, hidden areas, and a great chance to see wildlife like birds, turtles, iguanas and butterflies. Admission can be a little bit pricey, but students may purchase a $40 year-long membership with which you can visit an unlimited amount of times. Always a nice spot to go on weekends, but the best time to go is early mornings on weekdays when it's most quiet.

One of my favorite sanctuaries in the area. The admission price is reasonable, but if you are in the area with any frequency, a membership is well worth it, and pays for itself after two or three visits. The gardens are amazing, covering many styles of Japanese architecture and garden design. The path is a nice walk, at a little over 1 mile. Should take between 1 and 2 hours to make the circuit, but you are free to sit and meditate or just enjoy the views at any point. The museum houses some amazing treasures that capture the beauty of the Japanese aesthetic, and are well worth an additional hour or so to peruse. The restaurant is very good, and one of the better sushi places in the area. The gift shop is always fun, with many neat trinkets to bring Japan home with you, and while things can be pricey, members enjoy a discount.
