Doctors great treatment ok but hospital to small to treat patients who need to be admitted. Waiting over 12 hours for a room HORRIBLE
Best hospital ever! I have the most amazing doctors to help with my son Autism. The doctors know everything about the Autism Specturm disorder and I’m very very grateful for them all.
The best nurses and Doctors. They did an excellent job with my daughter. I will not go anywhere else. Thank you everyone.
i love this hospital every time i have to visit they are very kind and caring. i appreciate their service.
Our daughter had a congenital heart defect. Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery and Dr. Q was amazing they get a star. Nursing staff was incredible they get a star.
Our issues and reason for no more stars are listed below.
1. Child Life and Parent Support system not present.
2. Rounding does not occur until 10-1pm. Depending on severity. This creates a huge problem, here's why. Anyone can tell you shifts run 12 hrs typically 7 to 7's. If orders are not placed until as late as 1 or 2pm they may not happen the same day. Especially approaching a weekend or end of shift. When you are in an environment where rounding occurs between 7a and 9a it allows for orders to be submitted at the beginning of a shift, and guarantees that the day staff can complete their orders and cares. Attending doctors are available during the day to be more involved in care and understand their patients needs. While residents usually handle night care and can monitor and report overnight issues.
3. We were very disappointed in this culture of care. Poor organization and follow through.
4. We are happy with our decision for Surgery with Dr Q, but our care at Montefiore was far more organized, the communication was excellent, the level of follow up and most importantly being involved in their interdisciplinary rounding made all the difference in the world.
Worst Children Hospital ever, nobody cares about anyone, 5-8 hrs waiting, staff (doctors and nurses) rude. In addition they forget to give med to my nephew and they act like "no a big deal"
6th time in the emergency and always a six to eight hour wait time just to be seen. This time 5 hours and I walked out. Do not go if your child is not bleeding or something of the sort. A father to another child told us before he walked out some doctors were watching the game though. We waited an hour after the game and still nothing. There were four people waiting when I walked in, about 15 more cases arrived and almost emptied out againjust too busy to really care.
