  Love this park! Plenty of places for camping, fishing, boating, and it even has a swimming area. Has areas for RV camping and shower areas. It also has good restaurant by the docks! Paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, and boats for rent! The park is huge, and very beautiful, not usually over crowded.

  Great local place to enjoy peace an quiet. It’s also an excellent place to train for a 5K. The distance around the lake is 3.25 miles

  My favorite nature spot in Central, Illinois. Lots of trees, trails and wildlife. I regularly see wild turkey and deer. Really cool camp sites deep in the woods.

  This park has something for everyone. There are several scenic trails, boat rental, friendly and tasty restaurant/ bait shop, 5 shelter picnic areas, a paved road that loops around the park which is also a nice bike or run route of approximately 5k, and a camp ground. It is a short drive from Bloomington.

  We are just finishing up pur stay here this weekend. We loved the swimming area and beach. The restaurant has good food at decent prices! We like the campground. Bathrooms need some work and cleaned. The trails were confusing and boring. One said it was a half mile but my app said it was barely a quarter mile and we had even gone off trail trying to find our way.

  My family and I stayed here for a weekend the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The sites are nice but some need leveling other then that very spacious. The beach is only open on the weekends and is $1 to get in could use some a new layer of sand. We stayed here in a travel trailer.

  40 some years ago i and a few hundred other scouts cleaned up Dawson lake so it would become Moraine View state park. It was a great place for years now thongs are in need of paint and fixed or replaced. To bad these things are not cared for.
