Nothing but good things to say about Mopper Property Management. Always responsive to questions/requests. Spent four years renting from the and would definitely recommend them to anyone.
Cara Horner, our face for Mopper Property Management, is incredible. We own a rental home for SCAD students and Cara's expertise and familiarity with the unique pieces in that puzzle have been INVALUABLE. She's great with the students, sharp and attentive to us as the owners, accessible and conscientious. It's wonderful knowing our property is in such capable hands. Thank you, Cara, and thank you, Mopper!
The folks at Mopper, especially Cara, have been wonderful. They were easy to work with, knowledgable, and thoughtful as they helped us move to the Savannah area. I would highly recommend giving them a call if you are looking for a property in our area.
They decided to cheat us out on half of our deposit which was $1200. They charged us for a service call on the stove while we were still tenants and charged us 70 bucks for them just to plug the stove in even though that wasn't the issue with it. It's a gas stove. The only thing the plug was good for was the timer that kept going off. The stove was outdated from the 80s. Also charged us for a deadbolt lock that was already installed on the bedroom door by the previous tenant for $100. Charged us for blinds that were "missing" when they were taken down undamaged and in the closet of that same room. Then charged us a cleaning fee of 200 plus dollars after we spent a week cleaning out the apartment. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Unfortunately I have to give them one star to post this.
We called Cara to take charge of leasing our carriage house. Cara won our confidence in our first meeting with her wonderful outgoing personality and knowledge of the Savannah real estate market. She understood that in addition to finding a renter for our carriage house, she was also searching for someone that would be compatible with us. Cara hit it out the park on both criteria!!!
I am a neighbor of mopper's rental at 2911 price street. This co. Does not manage this building well. I have to call them to cut their grass, know tenants there who say things don't get fixed, part of a porch blew off during the hurricane six months ago and that giant piece if rotting lattice is leaning against the building. Porch boards buckling, rotting wood around the back steps, desperately needs a pressure wash, new tenants get no info about where to park according to them. The city inspector came out finally. Really don't shoot the messenger but you need to do better. Take a deep breath and take care of this building which the whole neighborhood would appreciate. Be a good neighbor!
I'm writing this review as a courtesy for anyone who is trying to rent from this management company. They're not transparent with the available properties that they have, so definitely press them for more information. On April 4th, my roommates and I sent in our applications for a rental unit and put the move in date for May 1st. The property has been on the market for 60 days, but somehow within 4 hours of me submitting our applications, I got a call saying that I'm first in line for the unit, but there's other renters with an April 17th move in date, so those renters were more likely to get the property unless I changed my move in date to April 15th and pay half of April's rent up front. We felt like they were taking advantage of us and our situation, but we agreed to move the date because this property met all of our needs. On April 6th I got an enthusiastic phone call saying that we got the unit, and that we'd need to get cashiers checks to make the deposit and first month's rent. The bank I use isn't in or near savannah so I made a trip to my hometown to get the checks. On April 10th I went into the management's office and signed the lease and gave the money. Two days later I got a call saying that the house we were planning to move into on that Friday, April 15th, was sold and to everyone at the management company was surprised. So they said we could move in if we wanted for 30 days and then move out, or just void the lease. I voided the lease and collected our checks back, but I can't help but feel scammed since we can't "claim" our application money back. One of the realtor's tried to help us for one day to find a new place, but has stopped texting me potential listings the moment we went to pick up our money. I worked at a real estate and development company for a year in the marketing department, and I know full well that this doesn't happen. You know way in advance about a potential buyer and their plans for the house before going under contract. So this massive inconvenience has left me very infuriated with this company and I feel that they were only trying to collect our application fees.
My brother and I were coming from Florida to take a look at the local area, and the realtor we had an appointment with cancelled after we made the four hour drive up. We stopped by, unannounced, and both Fran and Bill made time for us, connecting us with valuable resources and information about the local area.
They went above and beyond, and if we choose the Savannah area to invest in they'll be at the top of the list.
I worked with Fran Belloir in searching for a home in the Historic District and her service was first class! Fran was able to cater to my specific preferences, keep me updated throughout the process, and deliver exceptional customer service. I was able to reach Fran morning, noon and night and her professionalism is top notch. Assisting in my home search from afar, I had complete peace of mind knowing Fran was local and had a pulse on the Savannah market. Her follow through from contract to closing was exceptional. She is your Savannah expert and connection and I highly recommend her!
I worked with Jessica Kelly to buy and sell investment property in Savannah. She and her firm are great to do business with. When the buyer of one of our properties had issues, Jessica helped guide the agent/buyer (from another agency) to quickly solve the problem. Without her, the deal would have fallen apart. She is smart and creative - a top notch broker!
Kelly was great to work with and made our first home buying experience go very smoothly. She provided great insight and contacts. Would highly recommend her!
Jessica was an absolute pleasure to work with. Being novice home buyers, she covered every aspect of a real estate transaction, at least a dozen times, so we fully understood the process (each time she was respectful, polite and patient). She is one of the most enthusiastic people I have ever met. Jessica took the time to help us select houses and made the process a completely enjoyable experience. She directed us to all the right people and ensured that we would be taken care of. Jessica took the time to research our area of interest, Wilmington Island, and found us a beautiful home. I will never use another agent in Savannah. Jessica was fantastic!!
