Very romantic, the food was at it's usual best and the service was Swift and humorous. (I love interacting with servers who are not robotic in nature).
Very pleasant Christmas time experience.
Your reservation will be loosely adhered to. They would love to hide behind their "reservation policy ". Which amounts to you waiting 45 minutes after you get there.
Soooooo. I was going to leave this as is. But now we've sat here for over 30 minutes waiting on dinner. Server was fantastic. But manager needs to take ownership of the shift.
The ribs were average at best. Below par when it comes to the flavor and price of Eli's and Kennings Circle K. Due to very poor service and hospitality I am never coming back and would not recommend MI to anyone. The ribs were also too tough and peel nothing like good ribs should. You can make just as good ribs yourself with the same sauce at half the price.
This is my favorite BBQ place in Cincinnati but don't bucket it this way they have a lot of choices. If you are a fan of ribs you for sure want to go here the ribs are fall of the bone. We also had the onion straws the portion was huge and they gave us two good portions of BBQ with it. They had two specials the night we went. I was a 2 for 22 special which was a good appetizer and the regular order of rib. The other special was 3 for 33 an appetizer, dinner and dessert. The service was good and the food was excellent.
Good:
Ribs fall off the bone and sauce is excellent
Huge menu you will find something you like
Excellant environment
Bad:
Parking can be tough
don't go during the all you can eat rib specials
Very clean and large place. Honestly the best brisket I've ever had. There signature sauce has a perfect balance of flavor. Will make this a stop everytime I'm in this area.
Ever since I was a child whenever I'm in Cincinnati, I eat it. Montgomery Inn. The food is incredible! The service is outstanding. The barbecue incredible.
I rarely give 5 stars for anything but Montgomery inn deserves it. Best ribs period. Been going there for 35 years. Service was outstanding. Overall great experience. We'll be back in another 5 or 10 years :) (from Indianapolis).
Great environment, very clean and very large. We had an extremely nice waitress. We ordered the King Slab of the St Louis style ribs, while definitely large and delicious, it seemed more like a full rack and not worth the $30+. This place is very expensive, between myself and my dad getting the King Rack and sharing the double ice cream puff dessert, our total was over $50.
Have always wanted to eat here and finally had the opportunity. It was fantastic. Great service and quite possibly the best ribs I have ever ate. Very nice atmosphere & decor also. Cannot wait to enjoy again!
I'll admit I go all the way to 5 stars for sentimental reasons. Decades-long fam fave. And a must-visit when I'm in town. Yeah, maybe the quality has suffered a smidge. But it's still the best ribs joint I've found. A few years ago, I narrowed it down to here and Carson's in Chicago. Well - I had lunch at Carson's one day, then a late dinner here the same day. Montgomery Inn wins. Can't vouch for anything else on the menu. Why would you try anything else?
Best ribs and BBQ sauce I have ever had. Even bought a gallon of their sauce to bring back home. Beautiful atmosphere with sports memorabilia even signed by a celebrity.
Great food and venue to get together. Christian was our server and he was great
This was my 1st visit to this area and the Montgomery Inn. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice with really cool sports memorabilia. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was quite good and the prices seemed in line with the overall quality.
Worst service we have ever had there. Called ahead for priority seating that was a joke. Waited 40 minutes on a table anyway. People were coming in off the street being seated before we were. After going up to the desk to find out how much longer we would have to wait the girl said we were just getting ready to seat you. After being seated it took 1 hr and 15 minutes to get our food. The food is not worth the price and the service has certainly gone down hill. Not at all like it used to be at the Montgomery location. Going to cross this place off the list.
