fairly impressive, we have seen blue whales, buckle whales, delphines and a lot more. very friendly crew with a interesting story to tell - and a lot of knowledge about the animals and the ocean in general. must seen

What an incredible experience that I will never forget. We were so lucky in December to see Orca, Humpbacks and Dolphins! The boat wasn’t too busy but there were lots of staff who were all very helpful and informative. It does get very choppy and cold so worth taking travel sickness tablets and wrapping up warm! Parking cost us $15 for the whole day and we walked to the aquarium after our 4 hour boat trip.

Flier said reservation required. I called more than an hour ahead, and they said I didn't need to reserve and to just show up. I asked how far a walk it was from Cannery Row, and the woman said 20 minutes. We finished our lunch, and proceeded from Fish Hopper on foot and headed to where Google Maps indicated that I needed to go. Once we got there, all we saw was a fence saying it was U.S. government property. I immediately called them, and they said I was at the wrong place, that they'd been having issues with Google Maps showing their location in the wrong place. By now, we only had 5 minutes or less to get to the correct location in time for their 2pm tour. She explained where to park, but I reminded her that I was on foot and she said I probably couldn't make it. Once I got to the start of the Coast Guard pier, the address she gave me was to the RIGHT. I had understood it was to the LEFT! I called again, and she confirmed it was to the LEFT but that I definitely didn't have time to make it on foot, which really upset me SINCE I HAD BEEN CLEAR FROM THE START THAT I WAS ON FOOT! We walked over anyway, and apparently they didn't leave until 2:30 as it was anyway. The communication was SO POOR, I cannot recommend this service!

We had a great time, spending at least an hour if not more, observing the humpback whales playing with the sea lions. Very knowledgeable and friendly crew. The ship itself does not look so fancy as some of the other places on the wharf. But it gets the job done, and no hidden fee for upper deck viewing. Snacks and drinks on board are very reasonably priced. If you want a fun and honest experience, this is the one.

Awesome crew and a very nice vessel. Capt. Scott and Rosie C were exceptional. The service was very nice and they put us on the whales quickly. Great trip!

What a fabulous day trip where we actually saw whales! We had a wonderful afternoon and the guides were great and friendly and knowledgeable! I would highly recommend this company for a fun time and a great experience!

Great Whale watching experience. Saw a lot of Humpback whales. Saw between 16 and 20 whales flipping, diving and catching krill. A week earlier at the same place got to see a couple of Blue whales.. Although from a much greater distance. Only one grouse..wish we could have gotten closer than 100 yards

Super awesome! Myself and both kids enjoyed it immensely! The water was a little rough and it was chilly but they told us in advance so i made sure to bundle my 5 year old up but it was fine for me and 15 year oldabout 45 degrees the day we went out. All in all a great experience and now i gotta find a place lots closer to Ga to do it again.

We saw lots of whales - humpbacks the day we were there. Naturalist was knowledgeable, everyone was friendly and professional. Got some good photos and had a great experience. We went on the morning trip when water is a bit calmer. Highly recommended - can't believe I lived here for so many years before doing this! Would buy again.

Definitely saw whales and dolphins, otters, seals and bird and lots of pucking. Got overwhelming sick even with medicine. Was throwing up so bad!!!! For like 3 hrs, Right along about 20% of the crew.freaking fiasco. The staff was super sweet tho. Helping seasick people and cleaning up puke. I'm sure they aren't payed enough for that job. It was so bad for me that I had to get the E.M.T s to help me off the boat along with the coast guard. Which the crew got right on when I said i was dizzy and need medical attention. Totally my own fault but was a really rough day. Took 6 hrs, a Xanax and a nap to get my land sickness to stop. If you have motion sickness don't go on this long tour. Everything else was really cool though.

I went in the summer of 2016 on a 3 hour whale watching trip. The captain was John Mayer. I was desperate to see an Orca whale. I did not see one, but we did see a blue whale, humpback whales, dolphins, seals and jumping fish! Some whales would get so close to the boat. The trip I took was pretty full, so often times I was "fighting" people for space to see. That and the fact that I got sea sick are my only complaints. I loved it otherwise and would recommend to any animal lovers!
Tips: Even in the summer dress warm! Wear pants, a jacket and shoes that cover your feet. If you get sea sick or you think you might take medicine or another alternative thing for sea sickness!response / report this review -

These guys were awesome. Obviously with a activity like whale watching the are no guarantees, but as for my experience, it was incredible. Saw otters, sea lions on rocks and swimming far out to sea in huge groups, about a dozen harbor porpoise​s, a pod of probably 200 common dolphins which swam right alongside the boat, and over 20 humpback whales eating and diving, along with several species of seabird. Overall, very smooth trip with friendly and knowledgeable staff and lots to see. Highly recommend the guys.

This trip was a surprise from my daughter! It was a fantastic experience, and one that I intend to repeat. This whale watch has more to offer then most because the location attracts more types of whales then in So Cal. While we were out on the Sea Wolf II we saw gray and humpback whales, dolphins, walruses, seals, sea otters, and lots of sea birds. I didn't notice if anyone one was sea sick because it never occurred to me (we are sea peeps and don't suffer the land lubber ills). These tours have a marine biologist at the mic and I think that adds value to the trip. Our guide was answering questions, adding her knowledge to the whole experience. We went in the afternoon during summer; it was warm BUT the WIND was COLD! A beanie to pull over your ears would be nice as well as a warm jacket. Enjoy!
