From the first day I walked into Mohegan Lake Volkswagen everyone was so accommodating. Fast forward 22+ years and the experience is still the same I never feel pressured or ignored. My sales "Team" is easy to talk to and they are very knowledgeable about the vehicles and the buying process. Just as important is the quality of their service department. It's easy to schedule service and my car is always ready when they say it will be without issue or exception. I cannot emphasize enough how great a dealership this is and why I will continue to use them.

I had an exceptional experience at Mohegan Lake Volkswagen! My salesperson Zach was very professional and made me feel right at home. A got a great car at great price and couldn't be happier! If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle Mohegan Lake Volkswagen is where you should go.

Mark and Anthony were incredibly helpful, honest, and got me a great car at a fair price. They helped with shipping, and made sure I was taken care of the whole way though. The car showed up without floor mats or an iPod cable and they mailed me both, no charge. I can't overstate how refreshing an experience it was to work with a dealership this honest and straightforward.

I bought my first car at Mohegan Lake Motors in 1996. I have continued to buy both new and used cars from this dealership. The staff have always been very helpful and accommodating.

I am have been a customer for over 15 years and I am thankful that I found them when I moved in the area. The dealership is not typical car dealership they are honest and ethical on how they treat their customers from sales to service.
When you drop of your car for service it starts with being greeted by Nancy or Chrissy to meeting the service advisors Greg, Mark and Dayle all are very warm and nice. If it will take a bit to work on the car they have a shuttle that will drive you home if you live close enough to dealership lucky for me I do. When the car is done they will also bring you back to the dealership what a life saver that is.

I have been dealing with Mohegan Lake VW for over 20 years and they are truly one of a kind. It all starts from the top with the owner Barry Rost and all the people he surrounds himself with.
When coming in to get a new car or just service the one that I currently it feels like I am visiting with friends instead of a car dealership which hard to find.

I had to bring in my Jetta because my engine malfunction light came on. I called and was able to make an appointment for the next morning! First impressions mean a lot. I was greeted by a very friendly staff and even got a loner car for the day! My service advisor Dayle made the whole process easy and kept me updated throughout the day. The repairs were covered under warranty, such a relief. I got my car back same day couldn't be happier! Thanks everyone for the help wit my car. Highly recommmended!

Mohegan Lake Motors is the MOST honest, friendly and fair dealer I have ever been to. Service was prompt and my vehicle was repaired by the time I needed it done. They offered me a loaner to take until the repairs were finished because I had an appointment to go to. When I came back to pick my vehicle up it was washed! WOW! I couldn't ask for a better dealer to have my car serviced!! Keep up the GREAT work!

Horrible experience with David Slavin, he was very pleasant at first when he thought I was coming into purchase a vehicle but the tables turned when he found out I wanted to find out what my options were for returning my vehicle. I went in to discuss possibly selling back my car, as I am moving to an area where it won't be necessary for me to have it. I just wanted to know what my options were. When I pulled out a piece of paper to show him how much I owed on the car ( assuming I would have a balance due ) he waved his finger in my face and in a very nasty tone said "you don't tell me how much the car is worth, I tell you!" I was in no way trying to tell him how much I thought the car was worth, just trying to figure out how much I'd owe back. I've never had a man wave a finger in my face in my life and I found it incredibly rude and disrespectful. I was nothing but nice to this man and I didn't deserve that kind of treatment. David then said to me "let me go to the back and talk to my manager" comes back and says "yea, he doesn't want anything to do with that vehicle". That's fine but it's in mint condition and no one even took a look at it, like he said they would in the beginning of our interaction. I guess, if you aren't looking to purchase they don't want anything to do with you. Customer service is the main component in sales and I found it to be extremely lacking and somewhat degrading. I will never go back to this location and I will be contacting corporate to discuss this matter further.

Still satisfied after 20 months!
Majority of the reviews I read, are typically describing customers first visit and / or purchase experience. To this day, 20 months later, I remain extremely impressed with our Jetta and Mohegan Lake Volkswagen. My initial visit to Mohegan Lake Volkswagen, was simply to "Take a look" at the Jetta for my daughters first car. My walk around in the dealership was very inviting with no salesman breathing down my back. Salesman, David Slavin, did approached me, in a very pleasant way and made me feel very much at ease. As my interest grew stronger, after comparing the Jetta to other comparable vehicles, I began to ask David some questions. David was extremely knowledgeable and offered the Jetta at a very fair price. Since my purchase, and many miles later, I remain very satisfied with the Jetta and the service department at Mohegan Lake.

After having 2 major services performed here for my VW (at ML Audi down the street), I recommend them highly. Waiting area is nicer than most, service staff was straight to the point and helpful, and the work finished quickly. All the points these negative reviews are making were nowhere to be found in my experience there!

Nice people here, but VW couldn't care less about their customers. I've sent in my paperwork three (3) times over almost three (3) months to have my diesel Jetta buyback finished. My paperwork is still in the wind despite my third attempt being signed for via certified mail almost 3 weeks ago. Buy one of their junkers and they'll throw in lousy corporate service for free.

The worst customer service ever. Like VW can afford to have rude staff? Just tried to make an appt. with Mohegan Lake VW, for a "radio reset", very simple! she absolutely refused to give an appt. after 3:00pm. Furthermore, I visited the dealership a couple of wks ago, only to be completely ignored by a too familiar staff. I've seen this sort of behavior before, the management overlooking the unprofessionalism of their staff. Lends to the BAD reputation of the already SOILED reputation of VW
