Not just a bakery. There is a cafe dining area in the back. Would definitely recommend having brunch here. The dishes served here often feature one of the breads made in house. The seasonal cocktails are also quite good.

Cafe and restaurant with great food and good service. Try the brioche French toast with cinnamon butter.

Loved this place. Very nice staff, great coffee, terrific food and free tasters. Good place for breakfast and doing a bit of work (free WiFi). Wheelchair accessible I believe although a bit narrow at parts.

They are the bread masters of the area. When they get in there raisin nut loaf I buy every single one that's on the shelf and put them in the freezer because we loved it so much. Excellent lunch place up in Rhinebeck as well. Great service and food

Decaf cappuccino had great coffee flavor. Tasted like regular. Verge burger was good. Too much bread and too big for my taste but nice cucumber salad and spicy sauce. Would go again to try other things.

Going back over 30 years now, this was a small mom & pop shop that made some of the best bread you'll ever have had. When their product started showing up in grocery stores in the region, we were excited to have it more accessible, yet concerned about how it simply couldn't be as good as the fresh from the oven on location bread we knew from them for all those years. It was still quite good, but realistically, not as good as on the spot.
The issue, however, is as they grew, and renovated, the bakery itself turned into a bit of a hipster-type overpriced sandwich spot. Don't get me wrong, it's still very good. But not much better than a Panera anymore, and higher priced. I'm no longer inclined to stop there. I miss its more humble beginnings. Best bread around, and the prices were great too. Still 3*s because still very good bread. You're not likely to walk out of there complaining about the taste. Your only disappointment/reservation might be that it's at this point another overpriced sandwich shop. It works that gimmick well though.

Very good food for very reasonable prices. Definitely recommend making a reservation. We reserved a table for our group of 6 and it was the only empty table inside when we got there.

Solid coffee shop. Super busy on weekends. Not the best place to do work, but the eats are worth it.

Good bread, coffee, pastries and sandwiches. Downside pricey and long line! Last time I went here on a Tuesday I got here at 4:30 waited on line for 15 minutes and when it was finally my turn the kitchen was closed already - it was only 4:15! So very disappointed If you're a busy sandwich shop and close at 5, have the kitchen open until 5 please.
