Absolutely gorgeous, good food, great fishing, beautiful views, peaceful. Loved it, will definitely be coming back.
We stayed at Mission Oak last fall and absolutely loved it! The accommodations were amazing! Highly recommend ordering dinner as wellmy wife and I had a great time and look forward to many more visits in the future!
Beautiful and tranquil retreat in the country! Accommodations are very comfortable and relaxing, while the views of the lake and the birds are fantastic! The food is some of the best around - both preparation and presentation! Hope to be back soon!!!
After years of visiting this place, my mother- and father-in-law finally talked my husband and I into spending a few days here. From the moment we drove up, I fell in love with the place. The landscaping and architecture of the house was very well done! The inside of the house was absolutely gorgeous, the kitchen being my absolute favorite aspect! The room we stayed in was called the Bird Lovers Suite, with wonderful views of their private lake from the porch. Despite the rain and cold conditions, I had a wonderful time fishing with my husband which is a rare occurrence for me. My mother-in-law and I even visited the next town over during our stay which is a cute little town called Lacon. Such history there. I highly recommend this place; the innkeepers are a wonderful couple who are very welcoming. I would not hesitate to visit again.
My husband surprised me for my birthday with a overnight stay at Mission Oak Inn. We had visited Mission Oak Inn about 6 years ago and loved our stay and not sure why it took us 6 years to come back. Jan and Denny are so kind and attentive to every detail. We did have the dinner package (which we highly recommend) and enjoyed the fellowship of another guest couple and Jan and Denny. The grounds are beautiful, the dinner and breakfast is absolutely the best and the room is cozy and clean. We have agreed our next stay will be sooner verses later to this hidden gem. If you love to star gaze this is the place to do it away from city lights. Stan and Karen Budzinski
My husband and I spent two wonderful evenings at Mission Oak Inn this past weekend. It was a wonderful get away. We asked for the picnic basket on our first evening and it was ready an waiting in our room after our long drive. The basket was just a hint of how wonderful the food would be the following mornings. We had planned to drive to a movie and dinner but instead chose to take several walks on the beautiful grounds. Over breakfast we heard several interesting stories of the inn's beginnings and their travels. Denny and Jan couldn't have been better company. We would definitely revisit Mission Oak Inn.
My wife and I spent three days at Mission Oak Inn to take a break from our busy lives. Denny and Jan were wonderful hosts, talking with us and making us feel very at home. We stayed in the "Bird Lovers" Suite which was a very comfortable room to relax in. The gas fireplace in the room was welcome plus to warm us from winter's chill outside.
Breakfasts were delicious and different every morning. We purchased two dinners of our choice during our stay, which were expertly prepared and served.
We enjoyed beautiful winter scenery and being outdoors, which included hikes around the lake to explore animal tracks and ice fishing with Denny.
A very enjoyable experience
