In short the food sucks!!!! I bought a lunch special plate of jerk chicken and rice and peas which was a big mistake. The jerk chicken was cold, it didn't taste nothing like jerk chicken. Part of the chicken was not cooked properly. This tasted more like grilled chicken, then the cook sprinkled on the jerk seasoning. The rice and peas was mushy, it didn't taste nothing like authentic Jamaican rice and peas. Imitation is the best form of flattery but damn you guys suck!!!!!

The nerve of this place claiming to be a Jamaican restaurant. My wife and I had the codfish fritters and fish tacos to start off. Codfish fritters were mostly batter and fish tacos were two pieces of overly battered mahi mahi loaded with onions, peppers and coriander. We each opted for the “jerk chicken” meal, which was just two pieces of boiled chicken with some sauce on them, not at all what jerk chicken is or should taste like. Rice and peas were dry and tasteless not what you would expect from an authentic Jamaican restaurant. The mac and cheese pie came with what would amount to a whole spoonful of coriander on top and was equally as unimpressive. Any Caribbean person who frequents this establishment has no idea what authentic Jamaican food tastes like. The prices (exactly what you would expect from any restaurant in SoHo) would be justified if the food was quality, sadly it was not. Do yourself a favor and pass on this place. If you find it to be appetizing, then you clearly don’t know flavor and haven’t been exposed to seasoned food.

Fast and friendly service. If your friends order something different from make sure you try their food. So many delicious dishes. I didn't order the roti but tried some from a friend's plate and that will be my next order.

The food here is absolutely delicious. It was a recommendation and so worth the drive. I jade the jerk salmon with sweet plantain. Expected the salmon to be spicy but it was relatively mild, which made me happy. My friend had the oxtail, boy was that delicious. The meat just fell right of the bone. The atmosphere is pleasant. You can vibe to some reggae, even heard a little afrobeat while eating there. I say give this place a try. Make reservations because the wait to can be very long.

If you're in the area, might as well go to Negril Village. Miss Lilys does not have a hard liquor license so the drinks are weak. The food is decent but definitely not delicious, authentic caribbean cuisine. The staff is nice and friendly. The ambiance and music is good.

I love the drinks here and the Jamaican infused menu. However the Oxtails my partner ordered were cooked with too much water and the gravy was not thick enough. I loved my Ackee and Saltfish breakfast plate.

The whole vibe was amazing, and for lunch I had the curry vegetables roti! The curry is the kind once you smell and see it you know you're in for a treat. Tried the sweet and dandy cold press juice and that was lovely, I only wished to see when it was made. I am definitely coming back.

Food was good. Place aims to mirror a traditional Jerk shack. Limited outdoor seating available. Service was a little bit on the slower side but she was attentive and I never had to ask her to refill my glass. The music is too loud in my opinion but I enjoyed the music it's what I grew up with. I will return and bring friends.

I am not one to write reviews but this place really earns a bad review. We were seated and the waitress arrived recommending us the special appetizer which we order (it was horrible and smelled and tasted super fishy). Once our order was placed we didn't see our waitress much, which is fine. The meal was mediocre at best. Once our plates where cleared we received the check right away. We paid and 2 minutes after our bill was paid and removed from our table the waitress came up to us and asked to leave because they needed the table. We were beyond appalled needless to say we will not be returning nor would I recommend this place.

I found this place by accident, but it wasn't a bad accident. The food was pretty tasty. I had fish tacos, and my friend had oxtails. The corn appetizer was really good. The drinks need some work, they were a bit watered down. The ambiance was nice and festive. Since Negril Village shut down, this place is a nice alternative, and a bit more affordable. I would definitely go back.

We went there yesterday march 4 for my bday,wanted oxtails but didn't realize it was only served at dinner time. We got rice and peas and grilled wings, oh soo good. I didn't like how the staff was dressed. There was a black sister with jiggly butt in tights with an almost barely there too. I didn't like that for a restaurant. I won't mind that dress code in a strip club. As a black sister myself, my hubby and I found dress code distasteful and won't go to this location ever again. Food, 5 stars def. 4 stars due to dress code. Whose the manager???

To preface this review, I am myself of Jamaican and Trinidadian heritage and Miss Lily's was unfortunately an authentically inauthentic experience. Between the ox tail stew which was lacking in flavor and the poor service at this location, I would say to pass it up for anything that requires a restaurant that will impress on any front. My server Jamal was inattentive, cold, and unaccommodating as was the rest of the service crew excluding the hostess for which we can of course have an a modicum of expectations dictating that they at the very least exercise proper customer service skills. While Miss Lily's will be okay for casual dining and an introduction to Jamaican cuisine, my experience was so disappointing that it left me clamoring to write a review to warn others of the excessive 'hype' surrounding this location.

Side note - AVOID THE SORREL. We received what seemed to be a 12 oz. glass container of the drink with ice filled from bottom to top and a tasteless draw of hibiscus with just the slightest hint of ginger and sweetener all coming in for a whopping price of $6! Between the ice and the size of glass, there could not been more than 8 oz. of watered down sorrel.

I plea to the management team to restructure the business operation and actually start to value their customers and pay proper respects to the Jamaican culture and cuisine. Poor customer service and hubris in this fact is nothing to be proud of.
