Everyone from the host to the bartender (Duran) to the wait staff to the band (jazz guitar trio) were phenomenal. Great service, awesome people- I will go again!
A true must for the history aspect alone. Went for Sunday brunch. Very good food and great craft beer. The oldest running tavern in the country. With past visitors such as Goerge Washington himself!
Fascinating history of this location. Food was delicious, gourmet cuisine. Blue crab crab cakes were wonderful. My boyfriend's skirt steak was super tender. Attentive service and very professional. Love it!!
Nice ambiance and solid service. George Washington ate here. Obviously the menu has changed. I thoroughly enjoyed my surf and turf and they have some interesting cocktail suggestions. The restaurant generally seems authentic to what it would have looked like back during revolutionary times. Great portion sizes. Some of the rifles mounted are from revolutionary times, some are from more recent times. I definitely recommend going for the experience. I would gladly go there again. Dress is business casual. Make reservations. The location is also nice. A small town. You will enjoy it.
The atmosphere was awesome! My ribeye was incredible and the service was perfect. We definitely will be back for fall.
Steep in great American history. Food and atmosphere was excellent. Worth the trip and would return to enjoy the experience again!
A historic gem. Food is more bland, but always good comfort food. We always get to sit in the same nice spot with the comfortable chairs near the window. The desserts are especially decadent and good. Tmobile cell service is spotty inside
Worth going to for the history alone; add in great food and that makes it even better. Oldest tavern in NY. Washington headquarters nearby. Major John Andre (spy for the British army who worked with Benedict Arnold for the surrender of West Point) was held here during his trial. A quick trip up the road from the restaurant to Andre Hill and you will still see a marker on the spot where Major Andre was executed as a spy. As for the food, tableside made Ceasar salad is always delicious. Menu is good and specials usually worth listening too. Excellent bar with impressive beer selection.
Great music, food and drinks. Always a great place to listen to bands and enjoy a few drinks with friends. The owner and staff do a wonderful job taking care of their customers.
I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE. Now, I'm a big history guy, so I have a big bias. BUT, the food is awesome and the drink selection is good. The food is a BIT pricey, but the experience and atmosphere makes it all worth it. If you love Americago here. NOW.
