This place is very unique, went there for breakfast Saturday morning. They whole place was packed and wait time was at least 30 - 40 min so a reservation is highly recommended. There was a communial table available on first come first serve basis that was wide open. So we decided to sit there and we were greeted by our server right away. We didn't see any lack of service. The food tasted amazing. I will recommend definitely going the Smith.

Crowded but not a bad wait. The duck wings were super spicy and delicious. I wanted to take a bath in the sauce on the shrimp pasta, but they wouldn't let me. Even so, the wait staff was kind, attentive, and helpful.

We had a group lunch at this place. The food is pretty decent and the price is good. I would recommend the mussels soup which my colleague ordered. It is a big bowl with lots of mussels. Just don't order it if you are on a date. We had a 40$ budget per person and everyone was happy with their food.

The food was very good, service great and has awesome decor. I was there for brunch and would definitely return. While I wouldn't call it an iconic brunch spot, it is a good option for anyone looking to have an upscale yet casual brunch. Try the French toast or hash, both were great.

Very good. I guess there is substance to the hype. There were a ton of people on Monday night and even people waiting for a table. Quality of the food and service is very good. Maybe not the absolute best place to go for a great meal, but it's certainly very good. The best thing may have been this dessert S'more (pictured).

Very friendly staff and took great care of my party's multiple allergy concerns. Quality of food was amazing and definitely worth the price. My party got mostly classic food like burgers and steaks and highly recommend them.

Crowded Sunday brunch with a long wait but we opted to sit at communal table which was fun and very "new york". Pancakes we're light and fluffy and topped with a delicious whipped ricotta and Carmelized pecans. Eggs Benedict Johnny delicious and unique with cornbread topped with chicken sausage. Home fries were perfect. Service was attentive and friendly. Prices fair for New York. Would recommend highly.

Food was overall very good, service was weird. My cousin ordered the passion punch on the recommendation of the server but then when she came back with the drinks the server brought her a mojito. She said oh we have no more passion fruit juice but I got this instead you'll like it! Um no she didn't but the server insisted she drink it! What? Normally if they are out of something they come back and say I'm sorry can I get you something else? Then second strike was my friend asked if the pot pie was made to order and she said yes. Great because she doesn't like mushrooms so she made sure to say no mushrooms! It comes to the table and what do you know, there's mushrooms in it! This is why I can only give it 3 stars

We went with some friends were were visiting who live in NYC. They say that this is one of their favorite restaurants in the city. Food was unique and expertly prepared. Staff was fun and engaging, our waitress had us laughing throughout the night.

Cocktails were on point as well. From the classic old fashioned, to the new lichi martini, all were prepared well.

Just a note, it does get loud in here. We didn't mind because we were looking for a lively time out in the city. However, if you're looking for a quiet place, this is not that restaurant.

If you're looking for a great brunch, search no further. The Smith does a great job with their breakfast selection. Cocktails, coffee, and varied breakfast staples are all available, and all quite good!

The restaurant seems to be very busy, almost all of the time; so you might have to wait if you go later in the morning/afternoon. There are communal tables, though, so if you don't mind sitting with strangers you'll probably be able to cut your wait down.

The staff were attentive and friendly.

Went there for breakfast. Delicious! Tried the Tuscan Egg platter (or something like that). Great dish. My brother tried the steak and eggs. Also amazing. Both dishes perfectly executed and had great flavor profiles!

Wow - food was unreal. We had four different plates and we all had to taste each others because it all just looked so amazing! You could taste how fresh and healthy and well made everything was, and even though we were stuffed, we didn't feel heavy, the way you would feel after a greasy meal for example. Absolutely will be going back and taking more friends! The staff at the bar was beyond friendly and helpful, it was overall a great experience.
