A quaint bar with a really decent burger, loved the atmosphere. Passed through Jackson Hole on the way to Yellowstone and had to stop since I'm a Clinton Eastwood fan. Order food at the window and DO NOT order a drink at the bar and then sit down, if you sit you have to order from the waitress.

Absolutely amazing place!!!! Nothing like it in the world. The history of this establishment left us in awe of what made this and the value was jaw dropping! Anyone who visits Jackson should go here.

This is an outstanding bar and restaurant. Don't believe the negative reviews below. My gf and I were visiting from Los Angeles and we absolutely loved this spot. They got REAL COWBOYS hanging there. The music was top notch and the cowboys like to swing their ladies all around on the dance floor. The staff was very friendly and yes. they do have foreigners working the door collecting a $5 cover but its worth it. The got tons of locals their and the bartenders know how to make a drink. They got leather saddles as bar seats and tons of pool tables. I got drunk on rye whisky and Coors Light and met some really cool people.. everyone there is dressed like a cowboy or they are having a really good time on vacation.

Maybe 50 years ago this was a cool cowboy bar but now it's just a tourist trap with $32 T-shirts. Bartender was ok, average, doormen were average, not friendly or welcoming. Ordered a chicken sandwich, not from the bartender, but from the kitchen. Bartenders are losing so much money not serving food. Sandwich was below average but the fries were great. No service to speak of. The outdoor logo is a good picture to send back home but the bar has fallen into the old trap, good location, lots of tourists, we don't have to work hard anymore on pleasing the customer. Lots of doormen standing around doing nothing. Fire a few of them and sell your T-shirts for $20.

So about a week ago I went to visit Jackson WY. My main reason was for the visit was to see the world famous “Cowboy Bar” and the “Silver Dollar Bar”
The Cowboy Bar was very beautiful exceeded my expectations, but one big disappointed was that if the bartender don`t think you cool they pay you no attention. The doorman there was two of them had so much attitude it was unreal. When we walked out and greeted him he did not greet back and just frowned at us. The bar is beautiful but I felt so unwelcome that I decided to leave after one beer.
Me and my dad went to the Silver Dollar Bar. We got there and was the complete totally opposite. The bar lady was extremely sufficient, very friendly run a tab without even asking a credit card or ask anything. It was such a nice warm atmosphere we decided to eat something.
If I am ever in Jackson again I will defiantly visit the Silver Dollar Bar again and probably the only one. There food was outstanding. Love the bar and the staff.
The Cowboy bar will never ever see me again I feel way to uncomfortable with the staff and there attitude.
I use to be a flaring cocktail bartender from 1998 to 2006. Did flame shows and everything and the attitude of the Cowboy Bar would not fly in my bar.response / report this review -

The brunette (tan and scruffy) young male who checks IDs when you first come in ruins the 5 star rating. He literally sucks the fun out of being in a bar. Not even sure if he is capable of smiling or even seeming the slightest bit happy to be working there. The moment we walked in he just seem irritated and when he was sitting near the restaurant doors later on his poor mood made me not want to even be there anymore. The male bartender up top (with the cool mustache) was very friendly and the band was great though. Love the saddle seats and pool tables as well. For the most part, a great atmosphere if you want a drink.

We go there often because of the great deals both on food and Drinks. I you are looking for a Snooty Upscale place then this isn't for you. Its just laid back and relaxed. Have Fun.

New Year's Eve $20 cover is a real rip off for an overcrowded bar with WEAK drinks and a rude staff. Plenty of other places to go in Jackson Hole .

My husband and I had just arrived in Jackson Hole, and we were searching for food. We hadn't done very much research on where we wanted to eat so we were wandering around getting a little hangry. We decided on Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. They have a bar upstairs, we opted for the downstairs restaurant. We were a little hesitant, it was cozy and a little on the fancier side. We felt under dressed for the occasion. My husband ordered a skirt stead with a side of sweet potatoes and I was easily swayed by our wonderful server to order the special for the day which was bacon wrapped rainbow trout on a bed of veggies and black rice. Let me tell you, that trout was incredible. It didn't even taste like fish. It was so juicy and full of flavor, I enjoy seafood and I eat a lot of it. That was the best fish I've ever tasted.

The bar stools are saddles at this classic cowboy bar. The decorations are incredible- my favorite piece is the stuffed bear with a crazy story.
I would have given it a 5-stars but the beer selection is horrible. Only big-labels and nothing on tap.response / report this review -

My wife got the bacon wrapped trout atop some black rice, I got a small steak with candied yams. Everything was cooked perfectly. The service was quick and everything was clean. Prices were a little high, but it was not too much of a reach since the food was so good.
