Best restaurant experience I have had in Evanston by far! We went in for dinner with our 5 children. Our waitress (Victoria??) was absolutely wonderful! Very attentive and we never once had to ask for a refill because she was so on top of it! I was uncertain of the beer I wanted and she offered samples of their house brews and helped me select something that suited my tastes perfectly. Our food was fresh/hot and the kids menu has ample selection with traditional kids favorites like mac and cheese, hamburgers, and corn dogs. The ambience of the restaurant was cozy, fun, and very welcoming (even with our horde of kiddos). We were extremely pleased with our dining experience and Sud's Bros. will be added to the very short list of restaurants I will eat at in Evanston. Thank you guys for meeting and exceeding our expectations!
Service was good. The food not so much. I Vought an early dinner r myself and two others and the total was over $50. That being said the burgers were very dry and the fries were overcooked. All I all it was a waste of fifty dollars and a mistake I will not be in a hurry to repeat. Mores the pity I had heard such good things.
Solid beer and food at a reasonable price. Limited selection of their normal beer on tap but it is a smaller operation so that should be expected. Extensive menu. I had a special, wife and soup and both were good. Very friendly staff.
The only place in town with fresh brewed beers! Love the atmosphere, the people, and the staff there. Super friendly and delicious food! I've NEVER been disappointed! Happy hour 4-6 Monday-Friday hells to the yeah
All around A+ The place was clean, quaint, and unique. Atmosphere was friendly, social, and easy going. Food was amazing!! The prime rib sandwich had a soft bun (unlike the hard toasted ones that cut the inside of your mouth when eaten), and the onions, mushrooms and sauce melded perfectly together with meat so tender that it almost dissolved in your mouth. Wait time for food to arrive was slightly long (app. 15 minutes) but I had time to wait and it was well worth it. Kind of small selection of craft beers. Will absolutely be back!!
Best burgers, home brewed beers excellent service and an awesome atmosphere.
Suds is a cool but casual place. Good food at decent prices. There are no extravagant beer styles, fairly simple, but clean and well done.
Really nice help! The beer is nice. I'd like more variety. The food is all good too. Nothing too crazy fancy. It's a pretty good rep of Evanston.
Every time I go here, even if they are busy. I get great customer service! I've had sometimes where if they are slamed, the waitress' s don't forget ya and let you know that the food or order will be right out. For a good burger, great Good, good drinks come here! Best in town hands down!!
SUPER! Loved it Loved it!!!! Outstanding menu, lots of great food items. Service was nothing short of impeccable. Beers? Amazing brews. My personal favorite was the stout, and the Mountain Mist IPA, both were excellent. Suds is located on Main Street in Evanston. This little stretch of heaven is very quaint, and a very cool place to hang out. I would estimate it to be about a half mile long, if that. Nonetheless there is a lot of activity in a very friendly town. I highly recommend Suds Bros. if you are visiting Evanston, IF you are not, then drive there, you won't regret it, and like me, keep coming back.
Good food. Mostly fried. Good variety of beer. Nice environment, also kid friendly.
Came from out of town for the beer festival. With time to spare, we went to Suds. The place was not that busy and a seat was easy to find. That is where the positives end. It took a waitress twenty minutes to approach us despite three of them lingering around the bar chatting. She didn't know the beers on tap, gesturing to a sign and telling us to go check before disappearing for another ten minutes. When she finally took our order, she forgot one of the drinks when she finally brought them. It took another thirty minutes before we finally received our nachos. Thirty minutes. For nachos. They weren't even nachos. They were potato encrusted in congealed cheese. Will not be returning.
One star is too much for our experience.
My sister and I came for lunch and when walking through the door noticed a sign asking us to seat ourselves. There were plenty of available tables so chose a central one right in the middle of the restaurant. There were only three other groups of people eating when we came in. A couple of minutes after we arrived, a father with a couple of children came in and sat at an adjacent table. After several minutes a waiter went to the family's table near us and gave them menus and took their drink order. We were completely ignored. Near the back of the restaurant two women were noisily rearranging tables, and there were three other people working who were just standing around chatting. No one greeted us or even looked our way, even though we were sitting right in the middle of the room right next to the family getting served. The family received their drinks and their lunch order was taken - still no one even looked at us. Finally, one of the women toward the back said to the other employees that 'these ladies have not been helped yet'. One of the waiters acted like he didn't have a pad needed to take our order and turned and walked away. I thought he must have gone in the back to get a pad and would be out to help us, but when he came back out several minutes later, he went back and started talking with the other staff again. No one even attempted to come to our table - even after the reminder by the other staff member. We waited a while longer and finally decided that for some reason they felt that they didn't need to wait on us and didn't need or want our patronage. We were completely ignored the entire time we were there.
The only part of this experience that may deserve one star is that the restaurant appeared fairly clean. But since we never even got a glass of water or a drink, let alone any food, I would warn everyone from setting foot in this place. From looking at some of the other reviews it appears some people got good service, but we did not. They should be ashamed that they feel it is acceptable to treat customers who pay their salaries this way.
The food was good. I'm told the beer was excellent. Fast service during Happy Hour. Clean bathrooms and street parking out front.
Stopped in on a whim while travelling from Southern Oregon to Hanna Wyoming. Was pleasantly surprised to find an excellent little brew pub.
While I can't speak to all their beers, the nut brown ale is top notch. Herself and I also enjoyed their beer and cheese soup and an order of wings. Both were well made and delicious.
We're looking forward to our next visit.
