I LOVE Millenial Nails. It took me a long time to find a good nail salon in Bedstuy and relatively close to my place. I’m so happy I ran in to this salon. My go to ladies are Karen and Arlina. They both do amazing jobs with my nails. But overall, all the girls are super friendly and helpful! Customer Service amazing and efficiency amazing.
I received a gel manicure with a thin black line and a gel keratin pedicure. The pedicure was great and about $70, I think that's a tad expensive but an amazing pedicure overall. If this was just about the pedicure this would have received a 5-star rating. However, the manicure was okay, but the issue is the bill came out to be $160. Meaning this basic gel manicure was $90 and its not even close to being worth that price. I asked for a simple black line and I was told it was $5 per nail and she gave me a discount "$30", as you can tell it should have been "$0". 1.)because it's a simple black line that could be done by any nail tech (at most charge $10) 2.) because the lines are not good; They're uneven, different sizes, and are on different spots on the nails. I like this nail salon and do like my pedicure but paying $90 for a manicure is unacceptable.
Tiffany is the best! She made sure I left happy and satisfied. She suggested the color and wow!! I am so happy with my nails. She was so thorough and made sure my nails came out great! Will definitely be coming back!🌹🌹🌹
I went in for a soak off/gel manicure with a nail design. When I first booked the appointment, it said I would pay $65 for everything ($5 for soak off, $55 for the gel manicure + nail art, and the $5.33 tax). When I was doing the soak off, the nail polish wasn’t coming off and the nail tech started to get upset. Then, she started asking another nail tech how to remove gel polish when the soak off doesn’t work. I found that kind of weird because should you know another alternative? But, I ignored it and showed them the nail design I wanted. The entire time, the nail tech doing my nails was ON THE PHONE TALKING. She kept messing up and had to wipe off the design. I found that very unprofessional. Plus, you can tell some of the lines weren’t straight, so she had to completely start over. By the end of it, they charged 5 DOLLARS PER FINGER FOR THE DESIGN. Which I really don’t agree with. The nail art was simple and shouldn’t it be INCLUDED IN THE ORIGINAL BOOKING. When I booked, it said I would pay $65 for the gel manicure and nail art. BUT I ENDED UP PAYING $108 FOR THE ENTIRE GEL MANICURE. This price was outrageous for the mediocre job. Plus, the nail polish is really thin, so I can tell this manicure will start coming off in like 1-2 weeks (I just got it done yesterday and the nail polish is already coming off). I really wanted to support a Black business but I have received better service for LESS MONEY. And, they didn’t give good service when it comes to cutting the nails, filing, and doing the overall prep. If you want a good nail job, I think it really depends on the nail tech (because some designs on the Instagram page are simply phenomenal). But, you can’t choose a specific nail tech when you book, so that’s the downside. Overall, I won’t be coming back. The prices are too high for what I got, which was mediocre at best.
I’ve really given this salon a fair chance( had 6-8 services). It’s in the neighborhood and Black owned so I wanted to support. Price points are a bit high for the quality as the service quality is *very inconsistent*.
I’ve even tried various nail services and nail technicians to find a sweet spot. I noticed that when I was going for just regular gel and design on my nails it was fine. Designs are not always the best, can be better so I would go simple rather than more intricate. Also, I found that they don't really clean up your nails ( clipping nails, filing, cuticles, the usual prepping of your nails etc) prior to your core service which is frustrating.
Once I started to play with DNS/ Dip Powder and Gel X the quality came severely down. These photos are from today’s service where you see thick gel or conduit under my nail which the nail technician Tiffany attempted to file out/down but was also shaving down/ burning my skin/ finger tip with the power filer which I asked her to stop because it hurt. She and the technician I had the last appointment were both totally checked out/ rarely engaged to ensure service was on track but instead on the phone/ tuned out and not diligent which shows in the quality of the work.
I wish the service and attention to detail was better at this salon because the prices do not reflect the kind of work clients deserve. If it did, maybe I’d return. Currently open to referrals in Bedstuy or nearby.
