Awesome gym with an awesome staff.I'm only visiting town and they gave me a great weekly rate. The only thing that sucks is the gym isn't in my home town because it would be my new spot.

I like this location. It's clean, the staff is friendly, and it has all the perks I expect at Genesis (wifi, towel service, complimentary toiletries in the locker room, an indoor lap pool, indoor track). It's never super crowded, even in the 5-7pm range. They have plenty of classes offered. This location has tennis but I've never used the tennis courts. The pool, locker rooms, tennis courts, and the main fitness classroom are on the main floor. Upstairs is the main fitness area. They have plenty of cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights. There is a decent sized area to do your own thing. The track is upstairs also. I assume there's an elevator but I've never noticed it or used it. I have yet to attend a class but would like to soon. I do wish the lockers had the 4 digit combo locks like the remodeled Genesis do, but I've never had anything taken so it's not a big concern. I know they plan to remodel the location soon. I would love to lanes in the pool!

Genesis is a good / average club; the instructors and staff are friendly; the facilities are decent -- but the entire place shows signs of age. It's clear the Genesis folks acquired this facility for the tennis members, as that's clearly a cash cow. They seem to invest minimally in the gym side. I've been a member for approx 8 years; since prior to the Genesis acquisition of the Midtown facility. We were told when the acquisition took place that a "multi-million dollar" upgrade was planned. To date - minimal upgrades have taken place. Little things don't work and go in disrepair - for example just today I noticed the water fountain in the men's locker room -- inoperable. (it's been that way for a long time). Also -- the water fountain on the main gym floor is bad-- they really need one of the filtered units for refilling bottles (similar to those in schools / airports). The group instructors are great - especially the cycle classes, but the bikes and sound equipment are showing signs of age. Unfortunately, they have reduced the class schedule to only 3 classes a week -- and only 1 class that's outside of business hours. Nothing in the evening or early morning during the week (schedule Mari for more classes!). Bottom line -- good / average club - my advice to the Genesis management: Invest a few dollars in the OP club instead of focusing on acquiring new clubs and you'll keep your long time members otherwise, we will consider other options for both gym and tennis.

Location is great. Staff is friendly for the most part. Price is not bad. Overall, the whole club needs updated inside and out to keep up with that area. It's good enough for me though, especially when it's not crazy busy at 5am and I don't have to fight for equipment.

The staff at the gym is what helps this score not be much lower than it is. They are always curtious and helpful which is nice. They have some good classes that they run which is a good benefit to the membership.

The facilities on the other hand need some work. There is just a random assortment of equipment in the gym of carrying levels of condition. The whole gym is still branded as 24hr fitness. The locker rooms are always dirty and the showers are gross. They’ve done a couple things here and there but it needs some major work still.

Midtown is one of the best gyms I have ever been to! I never have any issues with being able to use specific machines and I love the cycling classes there (the teachers make it worth your time). The facility as a whole is in great shape and they just got new machines in too. I'd highly recommend it to anyone from a beginner looking to shed a few pounds to a pro looking to stay in shape.

I love that no matter what mood I'm in, I can go here to get a great workout. Running, swimming, sauna, cycling, lifting, training - whatever my heart desires.

My car was broken into the night I went there. The police officer who took my report told me that he had investigated another break-in there just a few months earlier. He said that the thief was probably laying in wait, watching women coming and going until he found a car to target. Despite this record, there's no surveillance of the parking lot, and the layout prevents oversight from club employees. A manager there explained to me, "criminals are always four steps ahead" anyway. Furthermore, it's very close to the interstate, making it ideal for someone who wants to steal away quickly. If you're female, I strongly urge you to avoid this club.

The coaches here are very encouraging. They have also coached some of the best tennis players in the world. The beginning tennis lessons (Tennis in No Time) is a fun and easy to learn curriculum that gets everyone there on the courts hitting balls in the first 10 min. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking into taking tennis lessons for the first time.
