Extremely busy place on a Sunday about 1 o'clock. The wait time was about 15 minutes. Even with the lines at the front door they got everybody seated very quickly. The food was very good although the portions were probably a little on the small side for what we paid. The property appears to be an old Bennigan's restaurant. All in all it was a very good dining experience.

Great atmosphere and smells! I recommend that you leave your coat in the car before coming in as it will smell like delicious BBQ by the end of your meal. I ordered the burnt ends appetizer with pork and beef. The pork burnt ends were more fat than meat but the beef were delicious. Also ordered the BBQ shrimp which was even better! The sauce it comes with you want to slurp up with the bread they give as well.
For the meal I ordered the half rack of baby back ribs. As expected, they fell right off the bone. My sides were the baked beans which were tasty and the spinach salad. I recommend paying the upcharge for the spinach salad. I’ll get that salad every time now.response / report this review -

GREAT sides and good BBQ. Their cheesy corn is where its at! Their beans are also really great. We also ordered Lamb Ribs which my husband LOVED along with their wings which are probably the second best wings we've tried in the US.
They had a special menu with Shredded pork tacos with cilantro lime sour cream which I LOVED. If you get a chance to try them do it.response / report this review -

Considered the best in KC; Jack Stack sets the standard high, this is a go to place when we have company from out of town. Everything on the menu meets or exceeds expectations. I have never heard a bad word about the food. There is always a wait but it's worth it. There are other more affordable places around but none are as good. I love the baked beans and cheesy corn.

Jack Stack is crazy busy on Friday and Saturday nights. Try to go another night of the week. Everything they serve is very good. I'm an old time barbecue lover so I was sure I'd find fault with this place, but everything was right on and delicious. The ribs were great. Chicken was fabulous. French fries were the usual, onion rings were just okay. Brisket and burnt ends were heavenly. Can't go wrong at this place!

Ohhh man. This is a go to place when in Overland Park. The food, superb. The wait was lengthy and, had there been more than the two of us it would have been 30 minutes. As it was, there was immediate seating at the bar. Our server was funny and humble, showing up when needed and giving excellent and honest advice. Great food, certainly. But it's the environment that meant so much on this trip.

The food was excellent and Steven was a wonderful at the bar. I mentioned I was from out of state and here for work and he gave me suggestions on my days off. When I asked about local beers he not only gave me great suggestions to drink with my food pairing he suggested to take the beer tours. I plan on coming back here when I'm in town again for work.

This was our first time at Jack Stack. Everything was top notch from beginning to end. Hostess was bright and cheerful with a great sense of humor. Our server Heather really knew her menu and was very helpful when deciding on drinks. She was on top of everything the entire time and was very friendly. I would request her in the future. Service was quick and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend!

The lighting in the establishment is a bit dim, but it's easy enough to adjust to once the food arrives. The food itself may also seem a little pricey, but it's worth every penny. We had ordered the Roundup (basically a sampler platter for two) and everything in it was delicious, even the cole slaw.
Service was impeccable and prompt (we came in a little after 5 PM, right before the evening rush hit) and our waiter was a gentleman. He was very courteous to us and gave us everything we needed when we asked for it. We will be back.response / report this review -

Jack Stack has some of the best Bar-b-que in the Kansas City area. Which is saying a lot. They have been featured on the Food Channel and there Baked beans were given the title of Best Side Dish in America. Great place with friendly staff at all 3 locations. I prefer the original on Martin City, MO, but you will have a great experience at any of the locations.

Pretty nice establishment. The service is wonderful. As a KC BBQ competitor I can't say much about the food. No significant smokey flavor and the tenderness was somewhat tough on some meats.

Great food and fast carry out if you order it a couple hours in advance. It's also reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. Busy frequently though so make sure that you call in advance for a spot or you'll be waiting a good while.

My go to BBQ place in KC. Love their prime beef ribs. Could eat them every day, we'll almost every day. So good. Always am awesome meal there. We'll priced. You won't go hungry. I am hungry thinking about the beef ribs.

Highly Recommend!!! I'm a semi driver and this place has wonderful food, people & atmosphere! I had a lunch sampler of pork ribs and beef burnt ends with BBQ beans & cheesy corn as sides. Desert was chocolate brownie with ice-cream. Warning: It's a mini cake that's very rich! Chocoholics will love it! Sauces are all very good. Will be coming back!!!
