I love this place. When I'm at my in-laws I always make the trip over to Mershon's to see what they've got in stock. I'm not to the point in life where I can have a high end musclecar like they sell, but hope to be someday. Seems like a great place to find something you might have a hard time finding elsewhere.
I bought a 1963 Corvette Split window coupe with a written service list which would included electrical/ starting issues and fixing whatever issue caused the car to be sitting in a pool of coolant when we inspected it. We came three weeks later to pick up the car thinking that it was repaired. Upon arriving home, the car was still leaking coolant and had to be kept on a battery tender and was still difficult to start. They sent a transporter to pick it up and had it for a month but it was still leaking coolant and still difficult to start. I again called Bob the manager who responded "sorry, it's a 50 year old car."
I then filed a Better Business Bureau complaint and got a check from Mershon's to pay for rebuilding or replacing the alternator, voltage regulator, starter and radiator.
Proceed with caution.
I met Bob when he had a mullet in the late-80's and have known him throughout my 28-year Air Force career. He's absolutely first class and I trust him and the Mershon's team like family.
Beautifully restored vehicles and knowledgeable employees who enjoy car talk without pressure to purchase.
Way over priced
WOW!! What a collection of cars!! I wish my garage looked that amazing..lol
Sadly my experience is not as others here describe. I made an offer and purchased a car. I asked for a shipping quote 3 times and never got one I finally just contacted a transport company myself and had it picked up in 2 days (waited over a week and a half for Mershons to get a quote and never got one). It took a while to get my title paperwork but it was ok. The car was advertised as having the original window sticker, warranty booklet, owners manual etc, a BIG part of the reason I bought it. When the car arrived none of that was there, when the paperwork arrived none of it was there. I have contacted them several times and the answer I get is "the last time anyone saw it, it was in the car" I would rather have the provenance but since they claim it is lost I have asked for price relief to no avail. I gave them a suggestion on what I believed was reasonable and it was suggested to me that it was not reasonable. Since then no word (over ten days since last contact)They have made no offer of any kind to make this right. It has been 2 months since I signed the contract to buy the car, and over a month I have been trying to resolve this issue. The car itself is very nice and I like it very much, its just not what I boughtI bought a car advertised with original provenance. It bothers me that I feel I was duped, it bothers me that the provenance that was pictured in the ad has now mysteriously disappeared, but what bothers me most is that they just don't care that I am unhappy and continue to ignore the issue unless I bring it up again. I am a classic car collector and this is one of many I own, I will never even consider another purchase from Mershon's, in my opinion others should be certain they are getting what they purchased.
Best place to buy exotic cars Corvettes and old muscle cars .. owner Danny mershon .. is a true Humble owner
Here is my experience with Mershons. I am from Lansing Michigan, happened to stumble across these guys while i was searching through cars on car gurus. They had two Z06 corvettes i was very interested. Lansing to Springfield is a decent hike. I knew nothing about Mershons or how they carried themselves as a dealer. All i can say is that i was extremely impressed at how well they treated me as a customer i dealt with Bryan predominantly throughout the day. He is a genuine car guy. Super down to earth guy i would easily recommend anyone to go to Mershons to buy your dream car! I would make this trip again easily to buy another vette from them someday in the future! I cant imagine anyone not giving these guys 5/5 stars.
I wish I had the money to own one of their cars cause I would show it off to ever body I could..love it
I purchased a 1969 Camaro without seeing it in person. When it arrived I could see an oil leak I called Shelby Mershon and was told to have it looked at and it would be taken care of.The leak turned out to be minor (from valve cover gasket)and not major (like a main seal)all was well.I also had to delay delivery of the vehicle by about a month Shelby graciously stored it all that time.THANX MERSHON's LOVE the car.
My wife loves it more than I do.
