Staff is friendly. They have a beer menu with a lengthy description on one page for each beer. I had a burger which was really good, but the fries could be better and the appetizer (last on the menu) wasn't that spectacular. Nonetheless a good cozy place to visit!
Great drink menu. Food menu specials change almost everyday. All the food I've ordered has been great. Staff is social and friendly. Tap beers rotate frequently. One of the best places to watch a game in Oregon district.
This place has such delicious food tbat although I'm from out of state, we stop here whenever we can even if we have to drive extra. Also cozy, cool people, great beer, and off-street parking. Win, win, win, win! Visit.
Fun, relaxed place. Kind of tight on seating on Friday night but a group left and we sat at the bar.
Good craft beer but you have to read a book to find one. They have lengthy descriptions on the beers. They state the alcohol content but not the IBU's of the beers. Pub fare food is good and well prepared but nothing to rave about. The Pinto Burger was cooked to my liking and had good flavor and was a large portion. The fries were cold and were seasoned with garlic salt which did not compliment them.
The sweet potato fries are much better. The fish and chips was cooked golden brown. The service was top notch and we never went thirsty waiting on a server. Restrooms were modern and clean.
Great selection of vegan options. Only negative is all of their cooks don't have the same skill level. Week nights you may get food cooked properly but weekends not so much.
Myself and a group of co-workers were in Dayton on a business trip and happened to stumble into this place. It was by far the best service we had while in Dayton. The burgers were good, the cocktails weren't unreasonably priced and our server Brad was awesome!
Hands down, one of the best food spots in Dayton. Creative fare, solid burgers, a range of veggie and vegan options (with their own grill top). Not to mention an extensive and well-curated beer selection. Looking for a great lunch downtown? Eat at Lucky's.
OMG amazing vegetarian options. I was in town for three days and luckily discovered it the first day. I ended up having lunch there all three days and my only regret is that I couldn't try the beer because I had to work the afternoon. Fantastic. Staff was really attentive and gave great recommendations.
Food was not good (see below), but we ordered the grossest beer any of us had ever tried and the manager insisted that we paid for it, even though we were never offered a sample. When we asked him about that, he said there was nothing he could do. "I can't pour it back in the keg." It tasted like vomit and cinnamon sticks. He swears that it is selling like hotcakes , but I'm sure it must be 1 pint at a time. The manager has no concept of how food service works. Watch out for the short guy with a goatee, because he's an idiot. Get it together, you have no idea how to talk to customers. (I have to amend my original review and remove a star because 1 of the 2 people who actually ate when we were there ended up getting sick and it was vegan food that's scary.)
Locally sourced foods..unique preparation
Multiple vegetarian options. Not typical bar food. Delicious
Disappointed. The menu looks awesome and the beer selection is great. Got the Lucky burger and was underwhelmed by the small amount of toppings. I ordered medium and it was in no way anywhere near medium. It was very well done and dry.
Great food and atmosphere. No wait on a Friday night, fast and friendly service. The waiter was helpful with pairing food with beer selections.
This place makes the world's greatest rueben! Ok, so it's a unique spin off rueben, but one that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. It's called the Lucky Russian, so stop what you're doing and go enjoy it!
Seriously though, Lucky's not only makes great food, they have great rotating beer selection and handle gluten free food as well as anywhere I've ever seen! That's important for me as my girlfriend is gluten free and they hand make the bread for her and she says it's some of the best she's ever had! So I highly encourage you check this place out!
My night was fine here until the bar closed. It was very cold outside so we waited inside for our uber at the entrance of the bar. It was 5 min away so we did not think it would be an issue to stand inside. A bartender told us to "get the f out" . I get when it is late they want to go home, but they were still cleaning and we were standing out of the way at the door. They could have been more polite. The rest of the staff was fine that night but that one bartender in particular will ruin this bar for me. Very unfortunate.
