The underwhelming and disappointment of it allThe staff was great and our waiter Matt was excellent..The loud 20 top tables times 2 were unpleasant and very loud and the food the foodwe have no problems paying a higher price for a dinner out and was amazed by the non flavor way over priced dishes from the appetizer to the salad to the entree and last but not least the cold lame donuts for dessertit was like an old country club still trying sustain itselfsorry..we won't be back.
The best meal I've had since my wedding night.
The inside is beautiful and cozy. The food is incredible. I highly recommend the Boar Bolognese and the Short Rib entrees. The bread biscuits are made in-house and are amazing. Our server, Will, is the best and will take good care of you.
Exceptional hospitality and service. Food was superb (Fried Oysters, and Boar Bolognese).
Food was really very good. Atmosphere is a bit pretentious.
I have been coming here for years. I have never had something I did not love. It is absolutely my favorite place to eat anywhere.
The atmosphere was quaint and nice. The food was good. I had the lamb chops and they were good.
Good was ok had bland fish tacos. Biggest issue was the waiter and cross-contamination i noticed that he was resting the water pitcher on the glass when he would refill. He rested it right where my lips had been in the glass then did then with everyone's glass at the table. And the next table And the next table.
Regretfully i was there for a business lunch so could not make a comment, but I'm truly disgusted.
Will never return!
Food was great. Location had parking near by and valet. Inside the restaurant was nice and clean. The plates and cups are a tad bit old but no biggie. Would definitely come back.
One of the top 5 meals I have had in the Midwest. Highly recommended, especially for special occasions. Make a reservation in advance!
This place has a really great atmosphere. The price is great for what you get. I ordered the steak frittes. The salad and fries were very fresh and the steakids was delicious. The staff was great and the chef delivered my food himself.
The food and wine selection are fantastic. The entree choices leave something to be desired for vegetarians, I had one option available to me. The do support gluten free patrons as well.
Great atmosphere. My wife and I came here for our annual "between Christmas and New Years" date. We were seated next to the fireplace. It is a great, quite place for a date. The wine list has a lot to choose from and the chocolate martini was well made. There were also many local brews on the beer list.
The food was good - tasty, well prepared, and nicely presented.
They try to use local ingredients when possible. My octopus was not local (I would image), but it was very good - it was the first time I had octopus. I tasted my wife's chicken and it was well prepared also.
My only complaint is that there were some ingredients in some of the dishes that I felt should have been listed on the menu. The two I am speaking of:
1 - the chocolate martini had mint in it. I don't think that is a standard and I would not have ordered it if I knew it contained mint
2 - my wife salad had anchovies on it - I traded her salad for my soup (my soup was better) as she doesn't like seafood. I liked the salad, but again, that should have been in the description.
Overall, it is pricey, good food, great service, great place for a date, quiet. (leave the kids at home for this one).
