Being new to Arlington we were looking for a new fine dining restaurant for a celebration. Some friends recommended Mercury Chophouse for fine steaks. The views are nice .but everything else went downhill from there. Service was incredibly slow and indifferent. We ordered wine and salads to start , which were adequate but not great. We then ordered the 8 oz filet and bone in ribeye steak, asparagus and potato au gratin. We waited quite awhile for our meal and when it was delivered our steaks were not correctly cooked, they were too well done, and the incorrect sides were served to us. I had to go and ask for a manager to come to our table so I could explain what all was incorrect with our meal. They took it back to recook and 30 minutes later we received another meal that was cooked the way we had ordered it. But no one really seemed to care how inept our meal service was. At the end of our meal we were offered dessert “on the House”, but politely declined because we just wanted to get out of there. Stay away, when I spend $200 on dinner I expect a pleasant experience, not the case here. Back to Fleming’s or Morton’s.

1st - $30 and less if far from true. 2nd - You'll notice it is USDA beef no grade mention. I say this cause my 12oz NY was not even .5 inch think and tough as all get out. At best USDA Commercial, maybe select. 3rd - No chefs there, new cooks at best. The steak was not cooked even close to right and other specifics requests completely overlooked. I know the servers took note and went out of the way to relay the proper info. 4th - Very basic stock liqueur list that doesn't compare with a real chophouse. 5th - poor floor plan in an office building in Arlington. Back Bar is disorganized and clustered. What premiums they have are hidden behind other stuff. Does not seem like a professional restaurateur but some businessperson that thinks they can run a top end steak place cause they eat at them. Overall they are pretending to be in league with the other chophouses in DFW but they missed the mark by yards. Drop the prices in half and be realistic then they would be ok. Also what chophouse doesn't serve bread and just two desserts really?

Very blah. Good location. Service ok. Clueless when it comes to gluten free options. Group I was with was a bit dissapointed. For the price we expected a lot more If you have Celiac or gluten issues, stay away from this place. If you don't have gluten issues and just want a decent steak for $50, go somehere else.

Restaurant week menu. Good choices. Service during dinner was good. Very disappointed in service in bar area. Listening to music and NEVER asked for drinks. Yall left lots of money in our pockets.

Wow, what a great dinner. As soon as we entered all staff were attentive to make us feel welcome and cared for. Jeff and Calvin were amazing. the food was truly remarkable. Ambiance was great to hang out, with live Jazz. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Zach. You will see us here again soon & frequently.

I really like this place. It is locally owned and the food is wonderful. The service is great. A truly great place to have a nice dinner.
