I had the blue cheese burger with bacon. It was a little more rare than I’m use to but it was really good. I also had the fried pickles and they were really good! It was pricey though $20 for the burger with fried pickles and a dr. Pepper.
Fred's is a great burger joint, they know how to make them for sure. This place is a little pricey but definitely worth trying it out. I've never tried to drink here so can't attest to the bar service. I will say that I don't feel welcomed when I walk in, but certainly don't feel un-welcome if you can understand that. If you don't want to drive down the the 7th street corridor for the original, make a trip here and save time.
The food at Fred's North is great! HOWEVER, we asked if they had military discount (on Veteran's Day). The waitress said "Yes. I'll be right back with your new total." When the waitress returned she said, "I'm sorry. As of today, my manager said we no longer have a military discount."
I had their Bacon Mushroom Burger with Sweet Potato Fries. The burger was so big I couldn't hold it. It is a very delicious burger. The fries are really great too. They give you big portions.
I had the Serrano burger. It had a good kick! The chips and queso was also pretty awesome.
Great place to watch the game. Not crazy buzy or loud, just fun. Blue cheese burger and sweet potato fries always hit the spot. Portions are large enough for my son and I to share.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere, the service, and more especially the food. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
Really good burgers and beer specials. The normal fries are just alright, but the sweet potato fries are awesome! Not the cheapest burger in town, but it's a decent size and piled high with goodies. I would not recommend take out as most of the burgers have some kind of delicious sauce and you'll end up disappointed with a soggy burger by the time you get home. Definitely worth sitting down and enjoying when fresh out of the kitchen.
We went in on a weekend afternoon and the wait staff was great even though they were very busy. Attentive, polite, and engaging: they really helped make the experience more enjoyable!
Drove 10 minutes for a burger and ended up spending $18 on a burger and fries. I get home and not only did they forget the bacon but they also fully cooked the 'sunny side up' egg I ordered. This burger is not worth $8 much leas $18. I call up and the only thing the manager can offer me is that he will make sure it will be made right next time. I'm not trying to be petty but they will not get another dime of my money. I could have had a decent steak for the same price..
It's a fun Texas themed with cold beer and great burgers and hand cut fries with the skin on laid back with several tv's with sports on so you keep up with whatever game or race is on
Good place to just sit back an relax cold beer an great food
Ate on the patio. Inside was packed. Food was good. Service not so much. Saw waiter once . I never got the opportunity to order another round. I had to go to the bar to get my check. If part of your pay is tips . Then you might want to actually do the job.
Fantastic burgers very generous portions. The enchilada burger was delicious only thing is I got the enchilada sauce on the side and was thankful after tasting it. I would recommend getting the sauce on the side because you can always put it back on. Fries were great as well.
Service from "Dallas" was tremendous. The food here is so real. Burger is great, the bacon awesome and the bun is really nice. I'm not a fries person but they are totally awesome here. Only possible negative for some may be the price but I'm okay with it. Fun with lots of TVs and live music too.
