I really enjoy coming here in search of another emotional support dog, the living conditions of the animals are very nice compared to other shelters I've been to.

I adopted a 3 month old kitten here recently. He was the most sweet and loving kitten I had ever met, and I knew I had to get him. Before I met with him the lady at the front told me he had some hair loss, and they tested him for ringworm but that wasn't it so they weren't sure what it was. I still decided to get the kitten.
The first thing I noticed when I got home was he was having extremely watery diarrhea something that was never brought to my attention. After 3 days of him not eating and having diarrhea, we took him to the vet. He thankfully had no parasites or worms, but they said he was severely dehydrated and had some sort of intestinal bacteria. We kept him on antibiotics, which thankfully helped him to feel better and start eating.
We just took him back to check out the hair loss, and turns out he has ringworm ALL OVER HIS FACE!! I was shocked when the vet told me that. All she did was simply shine a black light on his face- something the shelter could've easily done. Either they didn't actually check out the hair loss problem, or they lied to me so that I would still get the kitten. Now we have to keep him quarantined from everyone and the other animals for 2-3 weeks. There's a possibility that we could get ringworm now and that our other animals could get it as well.
Another thing is that the paper said he weighed 3 pounds, but when we took him to the vet he weighed 1.8 pounds I doubt he lost that much weight in the three days I had him before taking him to the vet.
Not only am I upset that the shelter never treated him for his diarrhea or even bother mentioning it to me, but I'm also upset that they told me he didn't have ringworm when he did. I hate hearing him constantly meow from the other room and not getting to let him sleep in bed next to me.
The shelter needs to do a better job at taking care of its animals, and start informing customers if the animal has any health issues to keep in mine before adopting.response / report this review -

Got our 1st dog can't beat the price, comes with health insurance for 90days Dog has all its shots they put a computer chip in the dogs back If the dog gets lost Dell be able to track homrowner the dog also comes with a few toys Everything for $50 you can't beat it

Great for adoptions. Sad to see so many ppl want pitpulls as a pet only to give them up for adoption. Majority of dogs that are for adoption there are pitbulls

Picked a beautiful Chihuahua for my mother. He was happy, healthy and perfect for her. Place clean, neat and staff fantastic!

Wonderful place to find your new furbaby! The facility is nice and clean. The staff are caring and pleasant. Wide variety of petsdogs (big and small), cats (all colors, short hair, long hair, kittens and adults), sometimes there are also exoticsbunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters, chickens and other birds.

Our experience with the shelter has been great. We adopted a wonderful 2 yr old husky mix. The volunteer that helped use was kind and positive. The paperwork was straight forward and included all the vaccine and an appointment to have her spade. We have also been to the facility to get low-cost vaccines and was happy to not pay all of the additional cost that come with a regular vet appointment. The facility was clean and we'll kept.

It's the worst place, one of my family members took his dog because he didn't have space to have her anymore , he took her in at 12 and he call me at 12:15.i call this place at 12:30 asking them to please don't do anything to her I was going to go get her and adopt her, they said they would give me a call back they call 10 minutes after saying they had kill her.
What kind of place is this where the God just got there and kill her because it was "aggressive" that's so stupid ! She wasn't there for more than 1 hour this place sucks and the workers do as well. They just kill the animals for fun whenever you are taking them thinking they will be okayresponse / report this review -

I adopted a wonderful dog today ! And I can say everybody I talked to today was nice .. And actually the adoption process was pretty fast .. but i can agree on the rudeness from the drop off side. I remember dropping off acouple animals I've found around the neighborhood few yrs back and told me they would put them to sleep the second they opened the door.. and was pretty rude that was few yrs ago but can say I didn't have any complaints on staff when I went in today . But did notice there was alot of room still.. I'm sure all of those should have been filled by how many drop offs they get and i hear how fast they put them to sleep when they are not adopted fast enough.. but then if you think about it when you get drop offs every day its kinda like what do you do i guess idk but it is a small place.smallest shelter I've ever seen..would be nice if they were little bigger and give the animals little more time amd chance to find homesand i noticed before i came in i went online to look at whats available and when i got there like only half of the ones i saw were there and puppys it showed that were avilable available a week ag9 are still on the site showing there available but we're not there . So yea I'd say the site needs work and needs to be updated as soon as a animal gets adopted or added. i absolutely love my new little buddy and glad I got her. But the place was clean and the lady mopped the rooms after ever visit with the animals.. the two other lady's I saw working were nice.

There's a dog park for dogs to roam. Good vaccination events. I wish they have more dogs. I want to adopt but my household won't allow big dogs.

Best animal shelter around. They really care for the animals here and try hard to match animals to a good home and family. They are very careful to train employees and volunteers in cleanliness and hygiene. It is a fun place to volunteer, though it is a lot of hard work. But, taking care of the animals is the big reward!
