    I LOVE THIS PLACE.

It is like NO other! They have several rooms to host a party, eat a nice dinner, or enjoy a poetry slam. The place is deeply romantic, quirky and unique.

It is also a fantastic venue to host a wedding or reception, as it is very affordable. Just talk with Marilyn, she is FABULOUS!!!

I really love coming here and I really love supporting this business. One of the only true all organic restaurants in Denver, locally own and operated by a wonderful lady who has poured her heart and soul into this amazing Denver gem. They also host events as well where else in Denver could you have a fully organic catered Wedding including your wedding cake made with the best ingredients you can buy. Even the bar is organic I mean this place is seriously awesome!

Food is sub par, BUT it's an awesome, eclectic down to earth atmosphere and the service was pleasant. I think this a good place for drinks and/or desert and definitely for an intimate live music experience, but their dinner options are truly unimpressive and overpriced. I went with a large group and tried almost every dish. I truly appreciate their food values, and effort to be sustainable but nothing I tried was good. It was just "meh." I personally prefer my own cooking! I ignored the reviews when I went, so I hate to say it, but the reviews about the food are pretty trueAnyway, still a really cool place.

I came here for Swing dancing lessons on a Sunday night. Two lessons for $10 including social dancing to a 17 piece big band plus 4 singers, that’s value right there. Dances were friendly and I’m glad the teachers promote a safe space policy. The teachers were great at teaching the basics and the music was fantastic. Wooden dance floor (maybe sprung too). If I lived here this would be my regular haunt.
The food menu looks interesting. I would return for weekend brunch.

Very interesting Decor. Hard to describe. Sort of like a Halloween version of Christmas lighting. 60s retro tie-dye or something. But still cool. The music I heard the night I was there was sort of like old school Blues..

Only been to the upstairs for dance classes. Beautifully decorated and great vibe (like I imagine a speaky easy looking). Drinks were good, but have not had occasion to try the food.

This Denver spot is so much fun. It has not only food, but also drinks and entertainment. There is even swing dancing and live music. Such a cool place! We went to see my niece Lari-Ann Rupp do her rap and we not only saw her but also enjoyed many rappers. Creative, fun people go here. It's lively and a wonderful time!

Great atmosphere, bland overpriced food, terribly slow service. I wanted to like this place, but after waiting a hour for our food and being neglected by our waitress I couldn't wait to leave

I came here for an open mic performance and they made me feel right at home. Being from Michigan, this was my first open mic performance where I did not know anyone in the audience. The atmosphere is relaxing. There was some dance going on upstairs so I stayed on the lower level. Friendly staff. Their food is locally sourced as well.

Super fun and creative , love the Sunday swing nights especially the fact that they give classes on how to swing dance instead of just expecting us to know how. Drinks are also reasonable and delicious !

Mercury CafeHipster Code for Go F Yourself

Like many others have said, the atmosphere is very appealingthink a collection of Goodwill treasures. Lots of decor eye candy. That is where the praise ends. Dropping in on a slow Thursday night with only 4FOUR tables occupied and a queue of staff pretending to be ready to serve, we were seated almost as soon as we walked in the door. Our personality deprived waitress greeted us promptly and proceeded to take our drink order. Upon returning we requested a couple more minutes to make our food selection. Partly due to the fact that HALF the entrees include linguiniif that's not your thingthe rest of the menu is unappealing as well. During this time a party of 4 were seated across from us and we overhear our waitress reviewing the specials of the night, which she didn't share with us. Fast forward 15 minutes and our waitress was MIA. We must have been honored to sit at the very table that Jesus sat at because water and bread were all that was brought to our table. Our waitress decided to casually show up just as we were getting up to leave. Hey decor buyerthe next time you're at Goodwill, see if they have an old credit card machineya know for 99% of the population that pays with debit/cc. If this is how you like to be treatedyou can have the Mercury Cafe in all it's hipster glory.

I love the atmosphere here, but the restaurant needs some improvement. Most of the food is bland and pretty well over priced. The service tends to be friendly and very pleasant, but they are super slow. Even when we told them at the start that our group needed to split checks, it took so long for the waitress to do this when we were paying that my wife and I payed a lot higher tip than we wanted to just to avoid a more extensive delay if we asked for change. Oh, and they only take cash, so that's a turn off too. This place could be going gangbusters if they improved the food and service time, even if they didn't budge on the cash thing.

A real gem! I've loved the Mercury cafe for as long as I've been in Denver. Wonderful, healthy menu selection, awesome atmosphere, lovely events. What's not to like? It's a one of a kind kind of place that offers a delightful and unique experience. Do keep in mind it is cash only so bring some green and enjoy!

Thank you to Marilyn and everyone else at the Mercury Cafe for allowing us to have the perfect wedding celebration! The entire afternoon was incredible, and we couldn't have asked for more. The food was delicious, the ambiance was great, and the amazing people working there made the entire event enjoyable and stress-free. All of our guests were thoroughly impressed by everything. William and the Romantics put on an amazing show. We cannot thank you all enough for everything, and look forward to spending years to come returning to the Mercury Cafe!
