I had a great dinner here. Prices are high, as in all south beach. They are not higher than other awesome restaurants. The meat was awesome, smokey from the fire grill. Good wine and my server was attentive and competent. Glad to get here again.
Honestly, not worth the 160 for 2 with/out drinks. Mediorce appetizer, slow staff, 50 min wait for food. On top of that, entrees steaks were dry. Lacked your most basic quality of a good steak.. Outside smoking. Save your money and dine somewhere else.
Meat Market's sexy vibe, intimate atmosphere, bartenders who should be modeling and decadent menu makes it, in my opinion the hottest restaurant on Lincoln Road. I believe you get what you pay for. In all honesty after a trip to Meat Market if you aren't completely satisfied you really need to look yourself in the mirror.
Phenomenal good, excelleny cuta of meat and outstanding table service. I recommend the lobster mac and cheese, oyster rockerfellers and the cocktails. From there, the 30 day dry aged tomahawk steak is tops !!
Wagyu carpaccio and tuna tartare were great. My new york strip was rare-blue but I ordered med-rare and I also disliked the blackening spice like rub on the steaks. A good quality steak only needs salt and pepper, not a1 like the previous reviewer.
Miami Spice 2017: Came in for a lunch date I had made reservations for but we ended up sitting at the bar so we could catch some football games. The bartender was awesome, gave great recommendations and even ended up going into the kitchen a couple of times to get our meals because they were taking a bit.
I ordered the salmon as my entree, and the quinoa avocado salad for my appetizer- I was very impressed with both of them. I am not even a huge salmon person and I inhaled the salmon dish. My boyfriend, the burger aficionado, loved his burger but says you can pass on the side of fries it comes with.
Highly recommend: The empanadas were our favorite part of the meal.
Called in advance to make sure they had A1 sauce and was told that they do. Once we arrivedo we are told they have their own house A 100, sauce which is not acceptable. They refused to get a bottle of A1 down the street for $5 even though we would have spent at least $300 between meals and drinks. Don't tell a customer that you have something if you don't and perhaps you might want to make a little more of an effort for patrons that visit your establishment. After looking at the menu at didn't look like anything special anyways.
Best steakhouse in mb overall. The ambiance of the restaurant whether in or outside is far superior to prime 112 or red. The quality of the food is comparable to prime 112 and superior to red. The staff cares about the clients and wants your business and seems connected to the community. Unlike the 2 hour wait with reservations you will sometimes find at prime 112 with a hostess that cares less that your time is valuable.
Food was good. We had tuna tartare for appetizer, steak and salad for entree. Our server Tim was great. Very helpful and took good care of us.
I'd give it five stars if we were not initially turned away (was told there was a wait of 45min), only to be able to book a table at Open Table. Also, there were four hostesses chatting by the door who were not welcoming at all. Even gave us a look over. I guess we didnt look like we can afford the place. I wonder what that "look" is.
The hippest steakhouse in South Beach (for the moment) is the place to see and be seen. The ambiance is great but I'm partial to Prime 112 for steak.
Decent quality food. Steak wasn't great but tuna tartar and Chilean sea bass was very good. Service was the worst ever! Ordered 3 tuna tartar. Waiter brought out 1. We told him that we ordered 3 so he brought out 3 more. We explained that we wanted 3 total. He billed us for 4 and then continued to argue with us even after we sent the extra one back that we were responsible to pay for all 4!! The server really was an idiot and a jerk. We left the minimum acceptable tip and left very disappointed. Poor poor service. BecUse of this experience I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
Best steak in South Beach! The food was perfectly cooked, the staff were prompt, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I highly recommend this establishment to any meat lover. 10/10 and I will be back! Thank you again!
I want to love everything about Meat Market, I really do. I've been to this location over a dozen times, but three times in the past 6 months has been a real disappointment. And that disappointment is always service related.
It really doesn't matter what side dish or appetizer you choose, this place will knock it out of the park. All are fantastic. The question is, when will you get it? My last meal there was a lunch and 6 out of 7 of us ordered hamburgers. We didn't get our food for 1.5 hours. 1.5 hours for hamburgers! I had to ask about the meal three times and I do believe our waitress followed up with the kitchen each time as she did report back, but she couldn't make the burger herself. The managers were apologetic and offered us two free desserts for our table of seven. I would have loved to have accepted that offer (even though two desserts for 7 people is a little bit cheesy- I mean we spent $320 on burgers and wine!), but I was out of time and already had to cancel a business appointment because of the enormous time it took. Worse yet, it was a slow day there. Again, the waitress was fine, we certainly didn't skimp on the tip or anything like that, but that management could have been a lot more on top of things and hurried things along. Or made a better effort to make it right.
The food is really terrific at Meat Market. I want to love it. I want to go there twice a month or more. But I can't afford to spend hard earned money trying to impress a client or date and have that money wasted because all we remember is the time it took to get our meal. I'll probably stay away for six months or so, then give it a try again to see if they've fixed the operational and management issues here. I hope so, because this place has shown they are capable of being world class when they want to be.
