As the majority of reviews say, incredible customer service. I'll frequently have a question about a product that cannot be answered from the website, and the turnaround time on getting answers to those questions is just fantastic, even (or maybe especially) when the McMaster people have to contact the factory for clarification. Recently when the manufacturer could not answer my question about a product, McMaster on their own initiative sent me samples so I could experiment and see if it does what I need. Extra chocolate kudos for "Mike", but every one I have dealt with has been great.
Website is well organized for searching too, so it's easy to figure out whether or not they stock what I need (answer is usually "yes" except for some pretty obscure items). Pricing is mostly competitive on material and fasteners - often a little high on tools but usually worth the premium for the hassle free experience and relative confidence in the quality of the underlying product.
By far the worst sales service I ever encountered. People should not wonder why companies purchase in China. The arrogance I encountered at McMaster is unprecedented! The mail conversation is almost an insult that could go to court. The told me almost blunt to $%^& off. I can not believe!
Outstanding customer service! I ordered a 13 dollar piece of copper, there was a lack of communication about the shipping and the cost of such. They ended up covering the cost and gave me an educating about the prices of shipping normal and shipping freight, As for ripping off the public, their prices are listed both online and in the catalog so if you believe it is too much, you have options of other places!
I DO NOT appreciate this company paying to have bad reviews of them taken down. This a discriminatory company. In 2017 they will cancel your order if you have anything to do with the production or consumption of cannabis.
Also, very poor customer service. Employees KNOW when they're ripping you off (and will even brag to the customer unknowingly about it)
As I said in my last comment that McMaster obviously paid to have deleted it's a privately ran business. But the free market will destroy you for pushing away paying customers. Everyone I know has switched to Grainger and wants to see McMaster ran out of town.
I tried to buy a personal peice of plastic with my own credit card and they cancelled the order cause I work in the production of cannibis, simply cause of that they canceled my personal order. It's 2017 weed is legal recreationaly in our state how are you gonna be so ignorant.
By far the best customer service I've experienced with a company. I also love the fact that they offer 3D CAD models of the majority of the products they sell. It's incredibly useful when designing components. Also, their email response time is unreal! They got back with me in less than 15min!!!
So professional! All day Everyday, you know what your gonna get.
Outstanding service. I deal with McMaster Carr for almost 20 years - I can't compliment enough the professionalism and dedication of their employees. Thank you!
Holy cow these guys are on it! I emailed them a question @ 1750, they responded with an answer at 1855 (within the hour). Then I placed my order @ 1900, AND I RECEIVED IT THE NEXT DAY IN LAS VEGAS with no special shipping instructions! Amazing! Blew my mind! Do business with this company!
McMaster-Carr is my favorite company to buy from.
The customer service is the best part of the experience. Ive made several errors to my orders and the people there shipped out what i needed the same day.
I also appreciate the quality products at a fair market price.
Welcome to the McMaster-Carr cult
All industrial supply warehouses should model themselves after McMaster – Carr
Selection is unbelievable, almost any bizarre item you might need is probably in stock, shipping is phenomenal, customer service and support is second to none.
Pricing is usually very competitive. But If you are shopping by price alone, keep in mind you get what you pay for! I really don't have the time or inclination to waste hours shopping for the best price and running all over town to save the $ equivalent of a happy meal!
