McHappy's is as close to a "down home" bakery as you can get. The staff are friendly and their donuts are top shelf Good!

I saw them from my hotel and decided to walk over. I was not disappointed. Their Bavarian Cream donuts were quite good.

Service is consistently mediocre. I visited with my sister, who was in from out of town, and the staff member was extremely rude to us. We were told that "she shouldn't even be open" (it was 6 am, they open at 5 and the door was unlocked) because she had a very large order to fill and made it seem like a special favor that she was serving us at all. This was the worst experience I've had there but I've never seen a staff member happy or particularly friendly. If the donuts weren't fantastic, I'd never go back. That said, the donuts are consistently fresh and delicious. My favorites are the sprinkle and the sugar donuts. The muffins are just "okay," I found them to be a bit dry. Check out the day-old donut shelf near the door if you need a good deal.
