Went today for the helicopter tour to the canyon and back over the strip, Mrs was nervous as all hell beforehand. Once we were in the air and got to know the pilot (Jared) she was totally at ease. The pilot Jared was a legend, knew all our Aussie lingo, dished out and took jokes, we all had a laugh, he knew what he was on about and an around great bloke who made the experience that much better. Thanks again and we'll be back.
Our family had a fantastic time last weekend on our Grand Canyon tour. Maverick really delivered, and it was one of the best travel experiences that I have ever had. I highly recommend them.
Everything was perfect. Before booking I called them five or six times with different questions and they were always friendly and helpful.
Pick up and drop off at the hotel was so nice so we didn’t have to worry about that.
Our pilot, Zack, was friendly and fun and made the trip just great. The tour was so amazing, I would recommend it to everyone - the views and experience of seeing the Canyon from above and below can’t be explainedit was stunning.
We took tons of photos and got the dvd and we will have great memories for a lifetime :)
Our pick up at our hotel was friendly and EARLY. I was prepared for a late pick up but I've never had any tour pick early before. Check in was smooth at the terminal and you can buy coffee/muffins there so no need to rush to eat breakfast before hand if you're not super picky. The coffee certainly smelled fresh. We had the airplane/ground explorer tour to the Grand Canyon from LasVegas. Cody and the Captain had photos taken before the flight with their photographer that you could buy (we did not buy since one person had their eyes closed) but on the way back they will take photos with you. Michael was our tour guide. HE spends a lot of time memorizing history and telling you what to look for. I could have used another 45 minutes at the last spot but I'm temporarily disabled and go slower so maybe not everyone would agree. Overall an excellent tour that i highly recommend. Also everyone had a window on the plane. You could take photos even if wing in way a bit. They pointed out things like the river, etc.
The flight was amazing and Grand Canyon definitely worth every penny. The pilot is very good and reliable and the helicopter is new. The “4 hour tour” advertising was our frustration - even though considering “hotel to hotel” like they said that is not true and the sales representative Bob from Venetian hotel push that to the limit - we’ve being told that would be 5 hours tour! Very disappointing.
In the package it said 2.5 hr but the flight was only 1 hr. The flight felt rushed. When we got off just became night the flight was suppose to be a little bit night fly. I went to the desk to ask why flight was so short and it said 2.5 hour. The person at the desk say " that includes the pick up time and drop". Took 15 min from my hotel Treasure island. I would not recommend to other people. I cant imagine how they rip you off on other packages.
If you can afford to fly with Maverick, it's a must. I have flown fixed wing to the canyon and now in a chopper and the flight into the canyon, with snacks and drinks and flight out was worth it.
The flight would be great in any case, but the staff, from the shuttle pick up driver to the pilot were excellent.
We took children up and the pilot made them feel pretty special.
The staff and the aircraft make this really special.
We flew this morning and it was incredible. Aaron was our pilot and the flight was very smooth. He answered all of our questions in flight, and was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. The helicopter was clean and roomy. Well worth it to go with Maverick over their competitors. Thanks Aaron for making our trip a memorable one.
First class operations! Great memorable experience! I don't like to fly but I felt very safe with our Pilot Jake, had a great time! Later I was at casino and someone stated they went to Grand Canyon via helicopter - I said we did too - she said it was sooo hot- I said yes but the umbrellas and Champagne made it even better - she said, what umbrellas and champagne?? So make sure you go with Maverick, you will be taken care of and have a wonderful comfortable time!
I was a nervous wreck when we started our adventure to the Grand Canyon but our pilot, Matt, was amazing and learned all of our names immediately. He always addressed us by name which helped ease my anxiety and checked in with everyone frequently to see how they were doing. He also let me know if big turns were coming up which helped me feel more comfortable. Even if you are nervous, I highly recommend this adventure. The company is very professional and safety is clearly important to them. Customer service was excellent and the views are breathtaking! The perfect way to see the Grand Canyon on a time crunch if you are visiting Las Vegas!

BEST TIME TO FLY WEDNESDAY TELL THEM JP SENT YOU.
The tour was great. Great views. Decent experience. The pilot had a great sense of humor, but took it a bit too far while up in the air. He was flying as if to intentionally make us sick, rising and dropping quickly and unnecessarily several times during the flight. This was supposed to be a tour, not a thrill ride. The rest of our last night in Vegas was spent in the hotel room trying to let our stomachs settle from the ride. My wife and I were also not allowed to sit together, which I understand was for a reason, but disappointing.
I went on the Grand Explorer Tour at 2pm on March 12th. My tour guides name was Mike, and my pilots name was, I believe Tony. They were both AMAZING. Both were very helpful and brightened the trip. We were originally looking for a helicopter tour, but decided to go with the plane and bus ride instead, and I am so grateful we did!! The 2pm time was perfect, we got into the canyon after noon so it was cooled down, and we left while the sun was setting- it was BEAUTIFUL. Once we returned to the airport, it was dusk out. I cannot speak highly enough of this tour. I've been everywhere from the Mayan Ruins, to Times Square, and NOTHING has compared to the Grand Explorer Tour. This was honestly the best day of my life, if I am ever back in Vegas, I will be booking another Maverick tour.
When visiting Vegas, you need to visit the Grand Canyon, and this is the company to go with!
With easy online booking, and new fleet of buses, planes and helicopters; they really know how to show you the Canyon. I booked the flight, tour, and then the Heli tour of the South Rim. And I have to admit it was breath taking! Flying from Henderson Airport in the South of Vegas, from their own terminal, you fly right over the Hoover Dam, and the Canyon, before landing right outside the national park! Then a 5-10 minute ride on their new “trolley” styled to look like it’s always been here, you end up in the national park itself eating your free packed lunch and bottle of water!
You are then free for an hour to look around after lunch before they pick you up and set you off in a helicopter. The helicopter tour really shows the scale of the Canyon itself, flying right over, and inside showing the sheer drops and River at the bottom. Whilst not going right down to the bottom (you just seem to skip over the top) you can really sense the size of it.
I definitely recommend the fly over and tour! It is expensive, but really makes the tour! And thumbs up to Bruce the guide! He was great, making the tour really fun and informative – give that man a pay rise!
Thanks for the experience Maverick! When in Vegas next, I will be returning!
