I am sad to say that due to terrible customer service my wife and I will never be eating from Masala Wok in Fairfax, VA ever again. We ordered from UberEats tonight and received most of ouf items except for the most expensive items. When my wife called the restaurant, they insisted that it was UberEats fault because there was a second pick up for delivery and intentionally hung up on her. When she called the second time she discussed the other person's order and realized that we did not receive that order either and that it was clearly a mixup at the restaurant. I offered to bring the food all the way back to the restaurant as proof and to get the correct items, but they kept trying to say it was UberEats and were not focused on correcting the problem which is that we paid for food that we did not receive.
Too many other very fine restaurants in Fairfax and especially Fairfax City to choose from to bother myself again with this place and their rude "blame other people for your mistakes" service.response / report this review -

I had a Padtai and food was some what ok. Expensive for a stirred noodle. Charged me extra 2.00 for steam rice on the side. I hate the decor of this placebathroom is dirty and floor looks like it hasn't been mopped in months. If you want health riskeat here.

New management. I ate their last week and the food and eating experience sucked. Now don't get me wrong, I liked eating here with the old management. 2 out of the 3 dishes were not served well. We asked for spicy and 2 of them did not come spicy. Then when they recooked the food both the dishes did not have salt in them at all. Not even a little bit. Now to the eating experience. The chief had music blasting to the point where you could not even hear the TV. And we were sitting to the window side.

I am a new mom was looking for a place to deliver. Online they say delivery menu and take you to a site to order. low and behold at checkout it says my pick up location and time. Sooooo they don't delivery. Absolutely annoyed!!!

Despite the subpar reviews, I figured I'd give this place a shot since I live in Fairfax and love Indian food. Subpar is exactly what Masala Wok is; most of the negative reviews on here are spot on.
This place has the potential to be pretty good, but they should seriously consider hiring a new chef. The cooked vegetables tasted like straight up burnt cooking oil; kind of ruined the rest of the dish for me. I ordered take out and it took quite a while to get my food, and there was barely anyone in the restaurant; the customer service wasn't very great either.
If you enjoy Indian Food, go to The Spice Route at Fair Oaks Mall instead. Way better food and excellent customer service; I am a regular there and the manager knows me by name and knows exactly what I order.

Our server didn't greet, didn't smile-or smile back-, and didn't quite understand the meaning of mildly spicy. To top it all off, the fountain had flat Pepsi.

Worst places to eat food. Highly recommended not to go. Its better to stay hungry then eat here. We ordered veg. Spring rolls. They charges $5 to 4 pieces and the worst part is they were frozen, packet one just fried in oil n served us. Then we had Paneer with Tandori Masala n rice. Tandori Masala curry is not at all spicy, it was so sweet n made it like they are going to use same in every dish Tandori masala, tandori chicken, butter chicken etc. etc.
Me and my wife ended having plain rice n left food in between n moved.
They also charged $22 for such a bad food.response / report this review -

It used to be good and not anymore. My Recent visits to this place was quiet disappointing. The chiecken 65 was burnt and oily. The fried rice ordered was just a colored rice with a lot of oil. Deftly this place lost its usual taste. I will never suggest this place. Also I recommend people to post a review either ways (good or bad).

This place is AMAZING! We go here at least once every two weeks because there are just so many amazing options to choose from. Plus, they revamped the menu to include some amazing items (including kebabs). Rice & Noodles with an omelete on top will always be my go-to dish.

The food was decent, the service was great. I would go back, but not as my first pick. Took a bit long to get a table, and after the wait I expected mind blowing. Good, but not anything I scream "You have to try this.
