Awesome! Thank you for everything you do! 8hrs a day kicking my butt, to recover from my stroke! Great place, with loving employees!
i was nine years old when i was serial casted on both legs for toe walking. my physical theripists were really kind to me and the casting really worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thx mary free bed!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to thank all of the wonderful staff at Mary Free bed for making my time there seem to fly by. You are an amazing group! God bless.
My grandfather is currently a patient at Mary Free Bed Rehab hospital, and despite his family being told he would receive top care at the acute facility, he was placed (last minute) on the "sub acute" 5th floor. Since being there, he has fallen out of his bed, been diagnosed with pneumonia and torn his feeding tube out in his sleep. He called for help and was not helped until the next morning when nurses found him. Today, more than two weeks after being admitted, his "doctor" finally returned my mother's call and admitted she only met my grandfather once this week.
I hope no one else considering care for a loved one Is misled by all the positive reviews of Mary Free Bed's acute rehab program. Make no mistake, Mary Free Bed's sub acute program is under staffed and unable to properly care for its current patients.
Everyone has been so nice and accommodating, even patient with my sister. lol We had a very bad experience before getting her settled in here, this has been a great place for her to be. Going in for brain surgery, then stroke, then getting paralyzed on one sideis a lot for any family and Mary Free Bed has helped with the unlimited questions we have and we feel much more informed and comforted. Thank You for the compassion all of your staff show to all patients.
Guess what? When I don't appear to have cerebral palsy, that's actually really excellent results from physical therapy and rehabilitation. It's sad your employees don't know this. One of your employees has threatened my safety today (off the clock of course) and has attacked my disability of all things. You should have better hiring practices to reduce discrimination and improve care. Who works in rehabilitation and discriminates against the disabled? How disgusting. Im sad I wont have access to these physicians.
Moved here from Houston Texas just nine months ago to finish raising my last two boys I was born with cerebral palsy and now recovering from a spinal operation at this awesome place and incredible staff Mary free bed rehabilitation hospital has helping me get back on my feet developing strenth and balance and how to do many daily skills as a single dad to survive and surpass this trial and the many trials I've overcome in life that God continues to put in my life building the man I am now I will strive to become a pillar of this West Michigan community in hopes to help others in the passing forward doing unto others as you would like to done to you what I live by day n night I hope to comeback to this hospital as a volunteer and mentor. As I've raised seven kids three that weren't even mine biologically and raising two boys on my own now with no direct family of my own here in grandrapids Michigan and missing my family in Houston Texas but this is where God has placed me and here is where I'll strive to better my self.
