I hardly know where to begin describing the wonderful experience I had working with Andy and Tonya. I recently entrusted Andy with designing an engagement ring for my now fiancé. I was outside of the Ashville area but selected Andy through a recommendation. While I was nervous about going through this process remotely, Andy took superior care of me from start to finish. He put in the time to listen to all of my ideas and flip through numerous inspiration pictures, working until we came up with what we both felt was a ring to perfectly fit my fiancé. Andy provided great insight into the diamond selection process and had a number of diamonds flown in from all over the country so that I could make a single trip into Asheville to select the best diamond for the ring. He provided a nice array of high-quality diamonds on very short notice and was patient enough to talk me through the features of each diamond, ensuring that I was completely comfortable with the final selection. When I was faced with a tight deadline (needing the ring for an upcoming trip), Andy put in the extra time to get the ring done on time. He sent me pictures and videos of the ring progression after hours and even on the weekends to ensure that I was aware of the progress and 100% satisfied with how it was coming along. When I received the final product, I couldn’t have been more impressed with the quality of the ring. From the presentation of the delivered product to the sparkle of the diamond, I knew that I had selected the right jeweler for the job. Now, the only person more impressed with the ring than me is my fiancé… and every woman she encounters. We can’t go anywhere without her getting at least one compliment on the ring. She even has other women ask her if they can try it on or photograph the ring. It makes me proud to know that I provided her with such a strong statement of my love for her and a top-quality ring to constantly remind her of my commitment. I thank Andy for the immense role that he played in this process. I thank him for the taking all of my considerations into account, for taking the time to learn about my fiancé in order to create a piece that was perfect for her, and for putting in the many hours of hard work to create such a perfect ring. Andy is an honest, quality man and exactly the type of person that should be entrusted everything that is invested into the creation of an engagement ring.

My husband and I are from East Tennessee. We were celebrating our 25th Anniversary in North Carolina. We walked into Marthaler's near closing to possiblely purchase an anniversary ring. The atmosphere was so inviting,warm, and welcoming. Andy was such a wonderful help with such patience.. We purchased two beautiful rings. We were there after closing and you know what?! They stayed and sized the rings right then. Who does that? Marthaler's does it. Thanks so much Andy and if we make any more jewelry purchases we plan on driving to purchase from Marthaler's. Beautiful watches, non pushy staff. They allowed me to browse at my leisure. They also carry a wide selection of Nato bands (which are difficult to find in store) and they are very reasonable on there bands. I will definitely return and buy a watch band from them

Highly recommend this place. I went in for a link removal on a watch that wasn't even purchased there. I wasn't charged a cent but gladly tipped. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was able to make my own cup of coffee while I waited. I've been to other high end jewelers and as soon as they realized I wasn't buying their nose went straight to the air. That was NOT the case with Marthaler. The staff was super nice and treated me just as good as people that were in there spending much more than I. A+

From the first step through the door, Andy and Tonya made me feel welcome and treated me more like a friend than a customer. They and all their staff mirrored my excitement at getting just the perfect engagement ring. We poured over setting after setting, they brought out samples and catalogs, and after a couple of visits, I finally found the one that was just right.
Even during all the holiday buzz, I had a great experience. They even made sure I took a cup of coffee for the long late-night drives back home.
Andy and Tonya have a great shop and it has been worth the 1.5-hour drive every time. Don't miss out on this honest, friendly, and heartwarming place. It's a real gem. (Had to say it.)response / report this review
