I can say this, couldn't ask for a better location-if You're a local. Worst if You're a visitor like me BECAUSE it's right square downtown, full of one way streets and Competing With downtown employed locals For Parking. Good luck

The facility is nice and the event that i attended was decent, kinda corny, but i still had a few laughs. The reason for only 3 stars is that if they are going to allow the colosseum to be used in the colder months then the building needs to have some sort of insulation. I had to leave the event early because my sister and niece were with me and my sister has a blood circulation disorder that makes her not able to handle being in the cold for very long. The man in charge of the event told me he had propane heaters running in there all day long and it was still freezing inside. Overall i had a good time, i just probably won't go back to an event there if it's cold.

Visited the Marion County Fair grounds for the first time in my life and I was actually pleasantly surprised. We saw one of those small time traveling Circus. It was an amazing show and the facilities were VERY well kept. Didn't know what I was missing. A local GEM.

Basic fair. Prices seemed a little steep on most everything. We did get to see Twiggy the water skiing squirrel and it's crazy trainer this year. Don't get me wrong fair food is great but for the money you're better off going somewhere nice to eat.

Had an okay time except for some of the people that were drinking while at the fair with children around. But there were plenty of officers to deal with them if they got out of line. Other than that the place was pretty nice and so were most of the people.

It was a very nice. Not too crowded and the weather was beautiful. I won my grandson the stuffed animal he wanted, ate good food, just an enjoyable night with my family.

We had a fun time!! ..tho it was expensive for the wait times and rides that were down. Wish they had a better selection for all ages. It got very crowded and the ground was like some took a jack hammer to an old road making it almost impossible to push a stroller. But all the extra sites, princesses, etc made it worth while.

We went to the fairgrounds to experience flat track racing. Finding which entrance to use and where to park was a bit of a challenge, but the venue is small enough that we didn't have trouble even though we were second guessing ourselves. Funny, the person told men to remove their hats for prayer but not women. I also think prayer shouldn't have been said, but I sat quietly and did not participate. The microphone acted up a bit when the national anthem was playing but everyone remained quiet and standing in honor of the flag. The event itself was great, low attendance though.

We arrived right when they opened to avoid the crowds and we sure did. Grounds were clean and staff was helpful and friendly. Several misting fans were set up to help combat the heat. Multiple buildings had AC, so you could go in to get a break from the heat.
Overall a good first experience at the county fair. Will go back in the future.

Love going to the fair I go every year I do wish that there was more live stock. Since that is what fairs were traditionally for.

Come enjoy the fair! Also, stop by for a free sample of Real Time Pain Relief or buy some for dad. Wouldn't it be great to give dad the gift of relief for Father's Day this year.
