Margaritaville Restaurant is a big, fun, loud favorite tourist stop that makes good drinks and can serve up decent food. We go here from time to time with friends and family that live in Key West, usually off hours and off season, just to get together with friends and have a few drinks. don't head here a lot during tourist season though.
A must visit for Jimmy Buffett fans! Enjoy a cheeseburger in paradise. Good, drinks, food and staff. Great gift shop attached.
This was on my bucket list and so happy I can mark it off. Would have loved to see Jimmy Buffett play in the iconic Margaritaville. Great food and beverages. Staff is amazing and made our experience spectacular!
Ability to get a simple hamburger order correct. Bad service.
Fish n chip good. Ask for tarter sauce three times never came
Way Better than expected! The food was great! I have never had a better burger and the service was great too. You can tell the manager runs a tight ship!
Walked by the entrance 4 times before we found it. Extremely overpriced for bland good. Margarita was watered down. Salad showed up same time as my steak. :( Asian salad their special with vinaigrette dressing, they must have forgot the vinegar. If Jimmy ever eat here he would walk down the street and go somewhere else. Ask yourself why spend crazy money for not even average food. If you want the Buffet experience go somewhere else to eat and drink. Then come to Margaritaville for a top shelf margarita. Wala, you are now a parrot head, fins to the left, etc.
Absolutely Amazing! I didn't expect the best burger of my life! BBQ Cheddar Burger! Wow! Quality! Onion rings were Amazing too! Hands down best I have ever had! Great Service and Great Atmosphere! The manager runs a tight ship! Margaritaville stands out best restaurant on Duval!
The food is sub-par at best. The Volcano nachos we ordered were missing half the ingredients and came out cold with congealed cheese gross. Sent those back. The calamari were rubbery, cold and under-seasoned maybe 10 rings in a giant over sized greasy bowl with the breading mostly at the bottom. The coleslaw was sour, yet bland at the same time definitely not your typical coleslaw dressing, or really any other distinguishable salad dressing for that matter weird. They offered to replace the nacho-like food with something else from the menu we felt safer just having them take it off the bill. I am certain there are several other restaurants worth the overpriced Key West menus. And don't even get me started on the bathrooms beyond dirty. Go elsewhere if you like food, cleanliness and/ or a nice place to eat.
Cool little spot. Seems to have entertainment at night. The food didn't live up to the hype but is still good. Service was slow but it might just be the culture of island life. Overall I was happy with the experience.
Last night, the service was fine. But the musicians were asked the play buffet music as I pointed to the sign behind him. He said, Who? His music was all one sound. My kid said she has better preformance and more songs. A 16 yr. Old, She was right. His music one word. AWFUL. Use a prerecorded if necessary. And we've miss the volcano, too. Removed our ketchup and table set, as we were ordering. No onion!
Can't rate the food because we never made it that far. Stopped on Wed of Fantasy Fest. There was a table right up front that we asked for. "Sorry. That table hasn't been bussed yet." There was one glass of water with some water on the table. The server wanted to move us to the back of the restaurant. No thanks. We'll eat down the street. Like there's not enough places that will take our money. He just turned around and ignored us. Went to Carolina's and had a great meal.
Mar 2017 comment - I went back to look at reviews after we had been there (something I typically do to see if we were a one-off or if it was typical) and noticed that the management only replies to positive comments. I guess they don't want to hear about the bad. Too bad. Seemed like a nice place but with the service and attitude we won't ever stop again.
The food was solid for a chain. But of course parrot heads come for the fun and it was a great party with the cover band. This being the original. Looks like they kept it original. The I've been to the one in Hollywood Fla and Vegas. This one that has a local bar feel to it. I'd come back if I ever get back.
I always try to make to to a Margaritaville when I travel. The one in Key West was the original and it epitomizes Jimmy Buffett's philosophy in life. The food is good, the music is great. The decor is not as much fun as some of the others, but it is great nonetheless. (Check out the upstairs bar at the New Orleans location - the seats are tire-swings! And the Waikiki location has a pool!)
