My husband and I love Marco Island Yacht Club. Chef Bob is terrific, the views are spectacular, and the activities in the Clubhouse are great, from fabulous parties to helpful educational programs, card games, the book club, water aerobics and so much more. And on the water, we go on Sunset Cruises, Luncheon Cruises, Overnight Cruises to other ports, and even have competitions like the Nautical Scavenger Hunt. Sometimes we take our own boat or sometimes we ride with others. You don't need your own boat to be a member because you're always welcome to ride with other members. The Members themselves are what really makes the Club so great--members are friendly and welcoming, and when you join, you very quickly make friends with lots of active, interesting and accomplished people who love to have fun and enjoy the same things you do. Especially when you're new to Marco Island, joining is a terrific way to establish a whole new friendship community. That's what our experience has been!

Dinner last night was terrible. Having been with this club from the beginning, a member twice and a member of the eating club (until you found enough excuses to dump it), l couldn't believe how things have apparently deteriorated. The club has always had its ups and downs with chefs (and managers, and staff), but the food last night, an incredibly small entree, was really poor. There still are not enough waiters, but we had Jimmy who knows me and he did a good job but he had far too many tables. It was a very disappointing evening and l should have clarified what l was getting into before booking. We didn't stay for dessert. And l won't be back.

Boat Parade and dinner were an unfortunately disappointment.Beautiful facility no doubt and the greeter did her very best to make sure everyone was taken care of but the service was spotty at best. Food was 7 on a scale of 10 with dessert being the standout. There are better options out there as this experience was not in keeping with what the MIYC should be known for.

Great place! I went down here from Tennessee to take a US sailing instructor course. Loved it, had a great time. Great place to sail!
