The first red flag about this motel was when I informed them of a late arrival, I was told that the door would be unlocked with the lights on so I could make sure no one broke in. In the room, the sheets and blanket were dirty with black hair, the sound was broken on the tv, and there was no wifi. Upon waking up the first morning, I found some ants in the bathroom. There were more ants late at night, but no one was in the office to report. On checkout morning the room was infested with ants, getting into my clothes and belongings. There was again no one in the office to report to and therefore I showed the cleaning staff. When I spoke to the hosts on the phone, they denied there being ants and stated cleaning staff denied seeing them. I offered to send them the photos I took, and they did not care. They instead accused me of bringing in hundreds of ants from outside in the winter when there was 2-4 feet of snow on the ground. They refused to give a refund or discount and they were rude and unprofessional on the phone. I have never had such an awful experience and do not plan on returning. I do not recommend this motel.

Bathroom was failing apart, mold on all the caulk around the tub. Room smell bad when we first went into it. Smoke alarm doesn’t work and falling off the ceiling. No internet. The Ac unit on the wall looks new though.

I love this place!! The man and his wife who I think were the owners were so friendly and kind. The rooms were very clean. I love the location, I literally didn't want to leave the motel or the area! They have a library as well, if you don't finish reading the book they let you take it with you. We were over an hour late getting out of there so I went to pay extra and she wouldn't let me. Amazing place, I can't wait to go back!

Stayed there for three nights in February. Spacious room with king sized bed, mini refrig, microwave, coffeemaker, bathroom also was large. It was clean, very comfortable and warm. We will definitely stay there again when in Schroon Lake. Only thing I would like to see added to the bathroom is a shelf to place toiletries.

Close to but not on Schroon Lake. Spacious comfortable room with mini fridge and microwave. Air conditioning is a built in window unit that's a little hard to keep comfortable since it's aimed right at the bed. Bed us fairly comfortable with nice pillows. Everything is very clean. Parking lot had plenty of room for our truck and boat.

Great, inexpensive motel! Clean non-smoking room, everything in good repair, near and tidy. Fridge, microwave, and sink were a great surprise and much appreciated on our travels. Plenty of hot water in the shower!
