Do NOT use this company. Completely unprofessional, rude and lazy! They walked off the job without moving a single thing because there was "too much stuff" even though I provided an inventory in advance AND they are paid hourly. And then, when I called to ask to speak to the owner (Paul), I was told that he is estranged from the company!? SKETCHY.

My wife and I rented a U-Haul to move out of state from NYC. The crew showed up at 10am as planned and were very efficient at getting everything loaded into our truck.

They were extra careful with fragile items and all our items are in the same state we left them. They were super fast to get all of our one-bedroom boxes/furniture down from the 6th floor into the truck and took away lots of stress from that day.

We are very grateful for their professionalism and friendliness, and would definitely recommend them for a move in NYC. We used them in the past as well for a complete local move and they get the job done. Their prices are reasonable and totally worth it!

My guys were great. The office management was NOT. Called me 4 days before my move saying they “didn’t fully look at my inventory list” and I would need a 3 man crew plus a bigger van for $100 more an hour. I found that to be incredibly unprofessional and to be honest shady. If you messed up then take responsibility and keep me at the same price, send the larger van, and don’t try to make me pay extra days before I’m supposed to move. Like I said the movers were GREAT- got everything to my place quickly and in one piece. Thanks guys!!!

Man with a Van was fantastic. I needed to move an 8 foot couch, my grandmothers kitchen nook table and chairs, a queen size mattress / box spring and a bunch of random medium to small items. They loaded their truck safely and wrapped all the upholstered items in less than 20 minutes. I asked for everything to be moved to my (too small) storage unit and they figured out how to get everything in! That was unbelievably stress free and would be happy to ask for their services again. :)

The service is EXCELLENT. They were really friendly and very quick -- I moved about 20 + big boxes over to my new place. My old place had 6 flights of stairs, and new place also has 6 flights so having the whole move done by the hour was pretty impressive. The charges were also acceptable compared to other moving company prices! Will be using them again.

My roommates and I used Man with a Van for moving this summer and I could not recommend them more. Jesse and his team were efficient, friendly and professional from start to finish, even helping us with taking apart and reassembling our beds and desks once we arrived at the new place. We were easily able to communicate with them through calls and texts throughout our move to ensure that things were going smoothly. Their prices are very reasonable. I recommend their service and would definitely use them again.

Wonderful service. We were moving out of a 5th floor walk-up and had a few huge pieces of furniture. The 3 men that moved us were super positive and got everything out without a single broken item. We ran into some logistical problems when trying to move in to our new place, which delayed the unloading of the vans. The crew were super understanding, positive and accommodating, and stayed as long as needed to get us moved in and settled. Wonderful service, highly recommend.

I had a great experience as always with Man With A Van. They've gotten a lot more official since I last used them (about 7 years ago) and got their number off of a flyer on Bedford. Anyway, they were very quick responding with a quote, their prices are competitive and were very easy to book with. I ended up having to change my moving date and they responded in under 5 minutes with a confirmation of the update.

The day of the move, I got a call about 20 minutes before they arrived (on time). They were friendly and quick getting things out of the old place and into the new place. I'll probably use them again in my next move and definitely recommend them for your move!

I hired Man with A Van for a 1BR move from Manhattan to Brooklyn, and they were GREAT - made a really stressful day a lot less stressful. We had a slightly challenging situation on arriving at the new place, but the guys handled it with aplomb -- worked it out with the super, didn't make me wait till they finished, and really went the extra mile to protect my stuff and make sure I was comfortable. It was super reasonable price-wise-- I have moved in Manhattan before, and paid a lot more. Would recommend them to anyone (I did a small move, but seems like they also do larger ones?) Really happy with the whole experience.

Very pleased with Man with A Van overall service. We had to schedule the service on a short notice and then reschedule last minute. They have a team of amazing customer service agents, we were treated as their favorite customer even it was our first time. Very pleasant and helpful on the phone, then confirming and reconfirming to make sure all questions answered and all bases covered. Two young men arrived within 2 hours window time, were very efficient and polite, knew exactly how to pack even the most fragile pieces, everything was neatly packed and delivered in perfect condition. One advice to future customers - even the smallest of the apartments takes longer to move then you think.

I used man with a van to move a bed from Manhattan to Brooklyn and to pick up some boxes along the way. I had read a lot of positive reviews online and my high expectations were more than confirmed. Efficient, helpful, and friendly, the mover they sent did a great job - I had planned to split the lifting with him 50/50 but he was so fast that he ended up doing more than his share of the work (with no extra charge). It was very easy and convenient to set up the appointment with their service and their rate was very reasonable. I couldn't ask for a better moving service.

Amazing Experience from beginning to end. Used Man With A Van on the recommendation of a friend who had used them twice this year and they did not disappoint! Prior to the move they were extremely responsive and filled out all the necessary paperwork my building required. On the day of the move they were extremely punctual and very professional. They handled all my items with care and shrink wrapped everything. I had a mountain of stuff and they did everything in one trip from NYC to NJ in a little over 3 hours with no issues. You also can't beat the price. The most reasonable rates of any quotes I got including the option to pay by 30 mins increments after the first 2 hours. Definitely would use them again.

Great experience moving the furniture of an entire bedroom to my new apartment today. The guys were kind, professional, quick and went above and beyond to help us. Pricing was extremely reasonable and they were done in less than 3 hours.

Only docked a star because they were 30 minutes late due to traffic. Other than that, flawless move.

Have used these folks several times to move furniture and they've been fantastic every time. The communication via email is great. Responses are always very fast. And the price is impossible to beat for the level of service they offer. Yesterday they picked up a giant table I bought from the furniture store, brought it to my apartment, and even offered to dispose of the shipping crate themselves. The best!
