It's so hard to know what you are getting when booking a hotel online. This hotel had great, safe, convenient location. Rooms were very clean. Hotel night clerk was wonderful. Rooms were very quiet. My friend and I had a wonderful experience and enjoyed ourselves very much. The kitchen is full of any dishes, glasses, silverware, etc you need and it is full sized. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Really friendly staff. I ordered dinner for delivery but I only had Canadian cash so the nice lady at the desk helped me swap out for some USD

I have stayed at the Mainstay Suites Greenville on three separate occasions for work. The first time was just one night, and it was okay. My co-workers had warned me it was a dirty hotel, so I was a little paranoid. There were a few stray hairs, but the room otherwise seemed clean. The second time I stayed, my room was very dirty. There were hairs all over, the kitchen floor was sticky, and there was a chewed up piece of gum on the TV stand. There were even cat treats on the floor next to the TV stand. If all of this was easy to see, what kind of filth was hiding out of plain sight? My third stay, the room was clean. I stayed for over a week. They have a policy of only cleaning the rooms once a week for long-term stays. You can request "light touch" cleaning, which consists of fresh towels, taking out the trash, and making the bed. Full service costs extra. On the seventh day, they supposedly clean fully. But I had the seventh day clean, and I was not impressed. A cracker dropped on the floor my first night was still there. My sheets were not changed (my hairs were on the pillow cases). Granted, I was scheduled to leave the next day, so maybe they didn't give it full attention. But this cleaning policy is appalling. If you only clean the rooms once a week, n wonder they can get so dirty. It's easier to maintain a level of clean than to scrub up a big mess as the end. Also, their breakfast is not great. They have waffles and oatmeal, which is nice. But there is no protein - no eggs, sausage, bacon. They have yogurt, but that's not enough. Many people stay here to work long hours at the BMW plant, and a heartier breakfast would give a better start to the workday.

Great place to stay! Nice to have an apartment like feel versus a normal hotel for the same price. Only thing that could make it better would be a toster oven or a real oven on the room. The kitchen vent in my room didn't work, not sure if it doesn't work in all rooms or just this one. Staff is friendly. The breakfast could use some protein on it.

The rings are clean and comfortable. The pool is a bit on the ridiculously small side. The front desk and house keeping service have all been very nice and courteous. Close to the interstate and minutes away from both the center of town as well as near by nature sites.

If your an overnight CLC worker they treat you right here. Finally a hotel that gets it, thank you. Not a bad hotel for the price, I'll be back.

The good: Location was great. The remodeled portions are very nice. The bad: The lights in the room are on a motion detector timer. They kick off every 30 minutes. I had to get up from the desk and wave my arms around to get them back on. First room had pet hair and tonsil clippings on the floor. The Ugly: Fire alarm at 7am. No apologies from the staff.
