Wonderful room. Everything you could need for short or long stay. Love safety features of bathroom. Exhaust fan is noisey.

Huge thank you to MainStay Suites in Coralville Iowa for having us this past weekend! Conveniently located hotel, surrounded by great restaurants and shops within walking distance and only three miles from Downtown Iowa City. The hotel was exceptionally clean, large spacious bathroom and the room came equipped with a full kitchen. The free breakfast each morning was perfect for us. They had hot food options and lots of beverage choices from juice, to tea and coffee. I was even able to squeeze my workout in with the gym in the lobby! Highly recommend MainStay to anyone visiting Coralville or Iowa City.

I had the luxury of staying at the Mainstay Suites in Coralville, Iowa. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The kitchenette in the room provides the perfect amenities to cook for yourself, or keep leftovers in a full sized refrigerator. Staff was friendly and very helpful during the entire stay. Great location with easy interstate access, and plenty of restaurants and entertainment close by.

MainStay Suites is just off the highway, between Coral City and Iowa City, which means it's very easy to get to anything you'd want to do in the area. I had a good-sized room with a GIANT bed and comfortable linens. My room also had a full kitchen (!), complete with stove, toaster, fridge and microwave. The room was cute, clean and well-stocked. Everything seemed new and fresh. There was free wifi, an exercise area, dining hall, laundry and little shop for any amenities you might need. The staff was super nice and helpful. I'll definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Iowa City!

The bed was very comfortable. The people are really awesome. I can't recall ever having softer towels. Could have been a little cleaner.

Swift pass. Made a reservation online, and arrived at 11 pm. One of those pay on arrival features through google maps. Once I arrived, the attendants increased the rate by 2 dollars claiming it was for taxes and fees. ( Already included when I made the reservation ). When I showed them my itinerary and price including taxes, they blamed the error on the website instead of offering me the quoted price. I took my 2 dollars and drove down, LITERALLY down the road to the other "Suites." It was better lit, across from a gas station, not as secluded, cheaper, and best of all no hidden fees. At least tonight Mainstay Suites lost a guest and a hundred dollars from their pocket.

We booked a room block for my wedding with Mainstay. Overall, everything went very well. The hotel was nice and the staff was very friendly. I worked a lot with Jordan, the General Manager, who answered every one of my questions every step of the way. He was more than helpful and so nice!

Jay Harris is a touring comedian who stayed here while performing nearby. He was really impressed with the hospitality and accommodations, especially the clean and quiet bedroom. There's also a 24/7 convenience store which is great after a gig, as well as a free breakfast in the morning!

Clean rooms with all the necessities. Free WiFi is available and the speeds are very good. It's near several restaurants and is near many stores. Its a bit hidden and is much more quiet than most of the hotels near here. There is a small fitness area but no pool if that's your thing. The bathrooms are clean. Only complaint is that the hot water takes a bit to kick in. The shuttle driver is friendly and on time.

The staff was great and prices were good. I enjoyed having the little kitchenette and also having free breakfast. The staff also did their very best to make sure we were accommodated and taken care of even though they were understaffed at the time.

My only concern was some issues with the carpet in our room having a rather large rip that exposed some carpet nails. I'm not sure if it was from the last people to use the room or not, but it was a little concerning for the safety of my feet at night.

I've never been disappointed regarding staff service, cleanliness of rooms, delicious complimentary breakfast, and an overall feeling of comfort when staying at MainStay Suites in Coralville, Iowa. Staff members, particularly Jordan and John, go out of their way to make sure all needs are met. It's a home away from home forme. I highly recommend staying at MainStay Suites in Coralville, Iowa.

    GREAT STAY WITH WONDERFUL STAFF!
We had a 74-day stay due to a school/work situation. Everything about the hotel helped to make that long stay more manageable. It felt more like an apartment instead of a hotel room. The entire hotel was always clean and well-maintained. Although we did not use the facility, the hotel had a nice, small workout room with fitness equipment, water dispenser system, towels, and television. The lobby even had a computer station and room with snacks/incidentals. The breakfast area offered a wide range of cold/warm items to choose from and was always replenished in a timely manner for guests - Wanda made us feel at home every morning. Our room was very comfortable and big enough that we never felt cramped during our extended stay. The beds and pillows were very soft and comfy, which gave us a restful and relaxing sleep most nights. (Noise from neighboring rooms can be an issue at any hotel, but the hotel staff supported a no-noise policy after 10 pm which was reassuring to us if problems occurred.) The kitchenette (stovetop, frig, microwave, dishwasher, and cabinets) was wonderful to have as it allowed us to feel somewhat at home with cooking meals. Pots, pans, plates, cups, bowls, and silverware are provided for guest convenience. While we didn't use the dishwasher, it was nice knowing that we had one if we wanted to use it. The bathroom was clean, well lit, and the shower head's water pressure was just right. The hotel staff were very professional, friendly, courteous, and cared about the quality of our stay. We sincerely thank Jordan, John, Wanda, Zack, Alissa, and the rest of the staff for a great extended stayyou made it bearable! We would highly recommend this hotel to others, especially if you need an extended stay!

To start on the positive side, the lobby was nice and the breakfast was good, and also the service was good. For the negatives, the room had major dust on the floor, tables, and headboards and ripped/stained carpet. I think this hotel needs a better cleaning system.

I like how I am on floor 1, room is nice in size and offers nice amenities like the fridge. Service is very nice, each staff has been hospitable. One draw back is it gets a little noisy being so close to the front desk.

I stay at this hotel while I worked in Iowa from 2/2015 - 11/2016. It was my home away from home! My room was nice and I have nothing but praise for the hardworking staff. Thank you to Jordan, John, Alex and Greg for making my stay a good one!

Really like this place. Rooms clean and comfortable, staff is friendly, and breakfast is great. Tucked off the main road but still in walking distance of shopping and restaurants.

We stayed at the Coralville location. We entered our room to find a box fan in the window and the wall heading /cooling unit opened up with wires hanging out. Upon returning to the room we found it to be way too cold so we checked with the front desk. Maintenance came and reconnected the wall unit. I returned a couple of hours later to find the room much hotter than the thermostat was set to. At this point my wife is trying to sleep and I'm left to solve the situation in minimal light. I set the thermostat to cool and a reasonable temp. The unit starts blowing barely cool air for a minute and then clicks and starts blowing hot air. To avoid aggravating my wife further I reverted to the state that's we found the room and started up the box fan with the window open. Needless to stay, neither of us slept well and when I reported it to the front desk I was told "we'll have someone look at it" and that was it. I was disappointed that there was no consideration do anything to make up for the rough night but instead just a comment that they would look into it. :(

We stayed here for work for an extended period of time and it was great. The hotel staff was amazing and very friendly every day. Rooms were decent sized and had a kitchen area which was a nice treat. I would recommend this hotel definitely.
