This is really in response to Sergio C. Who the hell brings a vegan friend and who doesn’t eat garlic and onions to an Italian restaurant and then repeats the same review at marea. Seems like Sergio needs a new dining companion.

Food was good but nothing impressive. But one of our friends was vegan plus cant eat garlic and onion and we were not able to have any pasta from the menu just a simple basic salad. No flexible at all to provide solutions. Coffees were very good! Nice place. But service can be better.

Great drinks, food, and staff. This is a very nice, welcoming Danny Meyer restaurant that always has a place for you.

One of the best Italian places in NYC! My party tried a sampling menu at the suggestion of the maitre d, even had a desert platter. Some of the best food I've ever had. Everything was fantastic and the staff was quick and attentive to the needs of our large party. Will be going back on my next trip to NYC!

Don't let the "gratuity included" fool you. Just a code word for overpriced, mediocre Italian food that enables the waitresses to circle back to your table every 20 minutes.

Service was sub par, often forgetting drink orders. Tables weren't cleaned after appetizers until after the main course was finished.

$48 for a bolgonese pasta? It was very good, but give me a break. Will not return!

We had weekday breakfasts and weekend brunch there. The quality of food and service is exceptional. The down side is that the tables are placed too close to each other. I could easily listen to the conversation at the next table.

We had dinner here to celebrate a birthday. The food was superb. The service was a bit slow because they were busy, but the servers were very friendly and courteous. Will come again.

This is 5 stars. Why? Because I am already planning my next time here the food was good and the staff are so helpful and friendly. All you would expect from a high class restaurant.

Dinner was amazing, wines were tasty, and atmosphere is perfect with Gramercy Park in view. Insalata, pulpo, lengua, garganelli, and the maialino were all delicious.

Amazing chefs and staff translate to amazing food and experience. Seafood is some of the freshest I've ever had in NYC.

Really cute place, went for brunch. The pork hash was fabulous but the pancakes were a disappoinment. The chicken sausage as a side is a MUST.

Went for a weekend with my wife and had a great stay. The staff are friendly and professional. In particular Christina on the front desk was very welcoming. Our room was lovely and we enjoyed the bar and restaurant (Umami which serves south East Asian food) Excellent location - tube across the road and on main bus route. Would definitely

I recently went for dinner (we were a party of 3). Things started off well, we were say quickly and the waiter promptly attended to our orders. The atmosphere is very rustic, a little busy and the clientele were young. We ordered a salad to share, and each ordered an entree. I had the Chicken (which came highly recommended by the waiter), however there wasn't nearly enough sauce. The chicken was tender and flavorful, but strange My father ordered pasta with clam sauce, and his portion of pasta was SO incredibly small that he ate half of my dinner too! The difference in the serving sizes between our three entrees was crazy! The food was average in flavor, OK in presentation and all around just not what we were looking forward to. Perhaps we ordered the wrong dishes, and this was not the average experience in this restaurant, however, I would not recommend the restaurant to anyone I know.
