They will probably have what you want best selection. Edit: buyer beware they will not take a return without a receipt and/or sticker. Small item given as a Christmas present so no sticker and I didn't want to ask for a receipt as I was grateful people are nice enough to get me something. Item was sealed and undamaged. But cause they removed the price sticker could not return for store credit. I did not expect a cash return. If anyone needs one of the safe lights they sell for 16.99 I'll give you one for free so it can get some use.
Staff very willing to help find anything you are needing! Best experience yet, even with the holiday crowds.
Over that place top of the line clothing ,shoes ,equipment , gun safes and if its has to do with being outdoors Mahoney will have it but remember top of the line products come with an extra little bite .
Not good for service dog. Very hard to navigate in the store . There as a ton of employees standing are talking with each. Two places in the store I just walked up and waited to see how long it took before they asked if I needed help. Did not respond l then went and found some one and brought them back to where I had the question. Went to the bow shop and found a 315 fps 150 draw weight 88 ft.lbs 12" power stroke . Asked about the crossbow. Reply was just on sale, after I get home and find the old tag with the paper work, and it appears the crossbow was returned two times. And the package overview two thing's are blackened out. And if you hold it right you can see that it reads 1 premiun red dot sight 2 20"Head Hunter arrows . These items where not with the crossbow and replaced with lower sub Item. So my question is why did no one example the sale price was based on returns with items missing from the package overview. To me that just poor management. Not representing the Jackal 315 company very well. So access for handycap and service dogs 0 Sale help 0 on knowing what the history of the sale items are.
Biggest variety on hiking/camping equipment in JC, but the prices are fairly high. I'd suggest getting your hands on a product you like, and if it's expensive, grab it online for a better price. They recently removed all male TOMS shoes from their store, their only suggestion was to get it in a woman's size, for me that's a size 15, not happening lol. Other than that, great location.
Had a mission Riot by Matthew fixed peep sight limb savers sights and all done very informative very helpful
Knowledgeable and friendly staff with good pricing on most things I looked at. When I hear someone say that Mahoney's is expensive it drives me crazy, they have good deals on Premium products and have on some items been cheaper than the lowest internet price!
One of my favorite stores. They have brands and things you can't find anywhere else. I stop in here all the time. They have a great staff that is very knowlegble. This place is great for picking up gear or just advice. They sell all kinds of outdoor related gear they aren't just a store for camping, hiking, and hunting. Personally I haven't had a need to shop the hunting side of the store but I'm sure it is great as well. I mainly come here for the shoes, clothing, special cups and bottles, hammock gear, and advice. So even if you don't hunt, camp, or hike this is still a great store for anyone. Like I said above they have things and brands you can not get anywhere else and the advice you can get is awsome.
I like to look at things before I buy them online and this place has a great selection of outdoor products to check out. I often find what I'm looking for cheaper here than what I can get it for online, so I usually buy it here. I got my wilderness kayak $100 cheaper here than everywhere else I looked and most of my camping gear. Went in this weekend to try on a pair of expensive hiking boots, and they were $30 cheaper than the best price I could find online. I'm use to getting price gouged at outfitters, but not here. Great friendly staff who are knowledgeable, will sell you what's best for you and not the most expensive thing on the shelf.
This place is loaded to the gills with stuff! Really nice firearms section; firearms, accessories, safes, you name it, they probably have it. Nice people working there too, at least in the firearm section.
I spent some time in the kayak section and I found the yaks pricey and no service was provided. Seems likes everyone on this side of the store was a little too busy for customers.
Very overpriced on most things but not bad on some stuff. Huge selection and a maze of a store you can get lost in for hours.
The selection of merchandise is good. However, customer service is very disappointing. My daughter went there today to spend money, however left because she was treated so rudely.
Has everything you would expect. Nothing you wouldn't. Good sporting goods store.
We went to Bass Pro a couple weeks ago (We are a lot closer to it) looking for a spotting scope. Two of us walked around the optics center for 25 minutes and all associates ignored us. Today at Mahoney's JR not only helped us but also took us outside with the scope to let us get a better feel of what we were buying! All other departments had people offering to help as well. We've found our go to store!!!!!
Given this store multiple attempts mostly because they are the only true outdoors store in the area. I'd rather drive 1.5 hours away to REI in Asheville NC than come back to this store. Mahoneys is over priced, and has terrible customer service. Staff is rude, and deliberately hide and avoid customers with questions.
