The ballet was fine,; the check-in was ridiculous. All that fuss about checking bags! It took me so long to find an usher and then she only vaguely gestured at my seat--too many people missed the beginning of the ballet The ticket I was given at will-call was most definitely not what I ordered. If several hundred people aren't seated yet, you don't begin! I have had season subscriptions to ballet, theatre, and opera in too many major cities. Your board needs to invest in a little educative travel!

$10.00 to park and the seats are small. Sitting like sardines squeezed in the small seats. For the amount of $ spent for tickets, parking, drinks, and snacks. Being comfortable is a must.

What a beautiful theatre. We saw Cirque Holidaze and it was amazing. I truly cannot decide which act was my favorite. Several moments had the audience holding our collective breath. I doubt there is a bad seat in the house. We were in balcony c, row 4 seat 6 & 7.

Saw Ian Anderson of Jetrho Tull play. He's still amazing. Good comfortable seats, even up high. The staff are friendly. The theater is clean, comfortable, and there are plenty of bathrooms. Beverages are priced reasonably for a venue like this. The Dali museum is steps away. Make a visit there before a show at the Mahaffey!

The staff and seating are ideal. I always enjoy concerts here. Drinks are expensive but that's to be expected for the setting.

Unbelievably wonderful staff!! I was in the absolute top row - with a crippling fear of heights. I had a full blown panic attack up there. The ushers immediately found me and my friend new seats in the 13th row of the orchestra. The seats were amazing and after the touching kindness of the staff and a vodka cranberry I was ready for the show, calmed down and immensely comforted by the concern showed me during a frankly terrifying and vulnerable time. Yes, next time i will definitely buy tickets earlier. But how lovely that this incredible staff saved the show for me! Not only is this a beautiful theater, but very good-hearted people work here. Big thanks to the Mahaffey for taking care of me!!

Nice venue. Great musicians. I Paid for a swing concert and was disappointed when a fifties rock and roll session took over the show. High promises, low deliveries outside and below the strike zone.

Restroom facilities are inadequate. Security is cosmetic overkill. Seating is far too close together for comfort for any but smallest people. Acoustics are excellent.

Went to the Rickey Smiley show 7/1/17. First time at this theater, very nice and overlooks the Bay. Very classy nice venue and easy parking. Will be back.

The venue is great for plays, the orchestra and other sit down performances. Things get a little tricky when it's a concert style performance and people insist on dancing and standing making it practically impossible to see and to steer clear from the flinging arms of your closest neighbors.

The design of the rows makes for an uncomfortable entrance and exit from your seat to the restroom or to refill a beverage. Your best best is to purchase seats towards the end of the rows to prevent nasty looks and odd body contortions when you need to make an exit for any reason. Despite the awkward design or should I say outdated rows there really isn't a awful seat in the house.

If your willing to shell out a couple more bucks, I would recommend purchasing a balcony seat. The balcony seat provides a lot more privacy and plenty of ease to move about and not feel like a grade school child preparing yourself for a scolding.

The theater is located in a beautiful setting right on the water. My kids' dance recital was held here, which I would argue was complete overkill. I must say, I cannot understand why the theater feels the need to charge $10 per car, CASH ONLY, for the "privilege" to then spend over $20 per ticket to see kids under age 9 "dance". I harbor a combined frustration between the amount of money I gave both the theater and my child's dance school this year (the majority of frustration concentrated on the last minute notification of just how significant the cost was for this theater, when there are probably dozens of acceptable venues that aren't half an hour from the dance school). Nevertheless, this theater must stay booked all year and charges who knows how much per venue, so why do they still feel the need to bilk parents out of even more hard earned dollars to park at a dance recital? For BOTH the dress rehearsal AND the actual performance?! PER CAR!! What about parents that have to drive separately, for goodness sake?

Beautiful theater and venue, inside and out. The view of the water is absolutely gorgeous! I have never had any issues with parking or getting out of the parking lot after the concert thankfully.

The concerts we have attended were well organized and fully staffed. From ticket pick up at will call to getting inside to being shown to our seats by an usher- everything was smooth and went without a hitch! And there was never a long line at any of the bars. Seats were comfortable and view was great from anywhere we were sitting. Acoustics were good- we could clearly hear all of the performances.
