Really nice. Just need maybe 6 pillows instead of 4 and light typical hotel blanket.

Very nice and good service. However they do need to clean the hallways. Had a musty smell during our trip. But I would go back.

Rooms where average and breakfast is limited. It is on a beautiful location of the lake. It is also much nicer than the motel across the street.

The view was amazing and my room was clean and cozy. But we didn't have hot water untill the morning and after traveling a couple hours some of our party wanted to take hot showers but had to take a cold one instead. The complementary breakfast was just snacks nothing nutritionalall I had was cereal. Other than that it was decent for one night stay.

Nice hotel, stayed one night for my son's golf tournament. Room was clean, the lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. I stayed in a king size room that had a patio that went out to the pool, which was nice for my younger son that wanted to swim, and even though we arrived later in the evening he was able to get a few laps in. I'd defiantly stay here again.

This hotel is not worth the time or the money. It is very filthy and has poor service. A guest bed in our room had a big period stain on it and crumbs. Then after my family and i came back from shopping a couple was leaving because their room was infested with bugs. Also there is no good food around eat it's all trashy, my family wound up eating tv dinners for dinner because it was simply the best option around. DO NOT EVEN RISK TRYING

The lady at the front desk was very nice the rooms are decently clean and kept up however I am a disabled veteran with a service dog and was told I had to use a smoking room bc dogs aren't allowed. This is against my rights. I was very upset.

I understand the reason for boosting prices in the area, specially on weekends. Still, I can't see how the price tag can be justified. It has friendly staff but old furnishings and questionable room cleaning quality. Shower and toilet were visibly dirty and the walls were decorated in dust. The AC unit couldnt decide whether to be on or off and sounded as if it was both at once sometimes. The coffee was water with a hint of coffee and there was no good creamer to distract me from this fact. The biscuits looked like they were garnished with the dust collected from the bathroom walls.

The Magnuson is an older hotel and the furnishings and decor reflect that. However, it was very clean and the staff was friendly. There was a nice complimentary breakfast which included pancakes, biscuits and gravy, pastries, yogurt, boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, juices and coffee. The hotel is located right on Kerr Reservoir (Buggs Island Lake). It is on the historic main street in Clarksville near restaurants and shops. Our family had a good experience staying at this hotel.

I had planned on staying here for 4 nights while in town on business. I learned prior to my check in that my stay would be altered to only one night. I informed the front desk staff of this prior to my check in and was told they would "leave a note for the manager" as they were unable to adjust reservations.

After calling twice more after the fact to ensure the alterations were made, I continually got the same response "we'll leave a note for the manager". At the end of the week I received a notification that I had been billed for an entire weeks stay. When attempting to call back I get the same response and have been waiting on a manager to call back for sometime now.

This place appears to be run by staff who are unable to do their job nor maintain the follow through to ensure tasks are completed and customers are taken care of. It is a small town and hotels are scarce but I would definitely caution against this place. It has turned into a far greater headache than I can feasibly explain.

The only rooms they have for guests with pets are smoking rooms. NONE that are pet friendly and non-smoking. The room smells like mold and not unclean. After being charged $20.00 a pet you would expect a clean room.

Booked a room several weeks in advance under a reserved block of rooms for a wedding party. The reservation was for 1 night which was Saturday. Called a week prior to our reservation to see if the room could be ready earlier than check in time due to the wedding being at 2:00 (which is check-in) and needed to dress as we would be driving in the same day. Was told that I would have to call back the day of check in as they could not make any promises. So the morning we were driving in I called to be told it was not a problem as my check in was the day before. Needless to say we were never informed when making our reservations that there was a two day minimum on a weekend or I would have made other arrangements at another hotel. We could not talk to the manager because she doesn't work on the weekends and were told to call back on Monday. Called back no return phone call, called Tuesday, no return phone call. Finally on Wednesday she got on the phone and refused to comp the second night. She informed us that her employees never make a mistake like that, so in essence she was calling us liars. She was rude and ugly. I would never stay there again and highly suggest anyone else does not.
