I got my nails done for my graduation and they were okay. It became worse when I was charged for EVERYTHING I asked for. Also, the man will continuously ask, “Do you want gel polish?” Not worth the $42 I paid AT ALL!
The man that dose my toes is a little bit O.C.D. he has to have them perfect. So he doesn't miss anything i love this place it's great
May God bless the man who attempted doing my acrylic nails today.
Day Spa & Salon did my nails today and she did an AMAZING job. I got a Gel manicure and this is probably one of the best gel manicure I've had in a long time. I'll definitely be back. Thank you Luxor Day Spa & Salon.
Came in to be told he had no one to do my nails. Then, he goes to the back and two people come out of the room. Just to have one guy tell me he has an appointment scheduled in 10 minutes. Excuses after excuses. Either you can do them or NOT! But that's to hard to answer a customer when your plain out lazy. Glad I won't ever go back to this place.
Went here prior to a wedding this past weekend with two other bridesmaids and the bride for mani/pedis (we had an appointment). The atmosphere was nice and welcoming but the service was sub par. The woman who did my nails seemed angry the moment she sat down in front of me and was even curt when I deferred to her best judgement on the nail design we wanted to try. We ended up having to settle for sub - par French manicures after the woman who did my nails advised against it. The lines on our final nails were crooked (on all three bridesmaids) and there was only one staffer there at the time who was even capable of doing the French tips, so we all had to wait in line despite three other employees being around. Within 10 minutes of leaving my nails were wrinkled and I had to push the paint back into place. I was originally told the service would be $35, then it changed to $40 (for the French tips), then as I went to pay it was changed again to $45. I found out afterwards that one of the other bridesmaids was charged less than me for the same exact mani-pedi.
All the employees were very friendly (save for the one performing my service), but I would never go back there for any of their nail services. It was cheap but still a waste of money.
I had to get my gel polish removed and then new gel paint applied. Took 45 minutes to remove gel and hurt like hell and ruined the surface of my nails. He hurt me again when he was cleaning up my cuticles. I didn't do anything fancy with the new gel polish either, yet the entire process took 2 hours (no exaggeration - I timed it) for a manicure?!?! Just insane. My nails aren't smooth and they're super flimsy and bendy and feel gross. I will not return.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
Looking at some of the other reviews, I find it hard to believe that they are taking about the save place that I have been coming to for YEARS I've only experienced nothing but the BEST service for the last 5-6 years. Yes, I too have had my own issues with the salon; but nothing that would make me take my business elsewhere. I have my 2 favorites 1 for my pedicures, and 1 for my fills. But there have been times when they were not able to get me in when I wanted to come; so they set me up with other people. Those techs were also great! Keep up the awesomeness Luxor!
This place is absolutely amazing and the employees take great care of you. This is cleanest shop that I've been to, and everyone is so friendly. I do not go anywhere else to get my nails and eyebrows done. I have been going to this shop only for about 3 or more years, and I refuse to go anywhere else. The owner, Sun, is absolutely amazing and very good at what she does.
