Luella's BBQ is phenomenal. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was very humorous but in a low key way. Great selection of local beers, ciders, and wine. The patio is pet friendly and there were about 5 dogs there when we went. All were well behaved.

We had a great birthday dinner at Luella s. There were five of us. The waitress was busy but still made us feel special. The food was great as usual.

Friendly, fast correct service. Excellent food. They had live music that was not too loud but could be listened to easily. Fun, great time meal in mid afternoon.

If you want good service and good food DO NOT COME HERE! Service here was a joke. The waiter walked away from me when I tried to ask for something 3 times during my time there. I was told by a manager that they were working on a catering order but I don't understand why that would stop the waiters from doing their job. The dry rubbed chili beef brisket was flavorless and was cold by the time I got it. Honestly I would give no star rating if possible.

We are from the Raleigh area and recently our daughter got married in Asheville and we had Luellas's cater the wedding with a full service buffet. The food was awesome, the service friendly and professional. Our guests loved it! Marla was our contact person and not only did she answer all our questions and make several modifications to our contract, but she also went the extra mile to take care of two of our guests who had severe food allergies. Thank you Luella's! We appreciate all you did to make their wedding so special!

We loved our meal. I had the pulled pork sandwich with calico beans and Mac & cheese My daughter had the ribs with seasoned green beans. The ribs were 'fall of the bone' tender. The green beans are southern style, cooked to perfection. The pulled pork was meaty with no fat at all. The calico beans are totally different from regular baked beans, but delicious. The service was excellent. We sat outside and it was casual and comfortable. There are corn hole boards and hula hoops to amuse yourself while you wait, and they do serve beer and wine. We had a great time there.

The best barbecue in a town know for good food. They just celebrated 10 years in business, a tribute to the quality of the food. This is our "go to" place when company comes. We also get a whole smoked turkey from Luella's at Thanksgiving. Catch Wing Night for a real bargain.

This place is awesome if you're looking for Carolina style BBQ. People are friendly and helpful. It's clean and has great food and entertainment. I would return. Ate there twice the week I was there.

I ordered the three meat combo with brisket, chopped pork, and st Louis ribs. Brisket was fork tender, chopped pork paired well with scooters vinegar and ribs were cooked so well they didn't need sauce. Mac and cheese was "welcome mat good". Mister Ghilman was friendly and fast. I aso thought the bathrooms were lively, had part of my meal in a stall

Very tasty food. Decent price. Outdoor seating available although that's not very peaceful, it's right next to a busy road. But the dogs enjoyed it. Service was slow but we went at a pretty busy time I guess. Food washed away most of the sins. Very good.

Excellent pulled chicken sandwich with custom crafted bun. Excellent side dish of garlic green beans. The hush puppies were too small though excellent in flavor. My primary complaint is the atmosphere and ambiance of the place.. The owner, or someone in charge of the music has a mindset stuck in 1970s southern rock which is really unsophisticated and was a total turnoff. Ambiance and atmosphere do factor into the dining experience. I paid in cash and left a generous tip. In order to get me to ever ever come back here they'd need to play some Nicholas Payton, Wynton Marsalis, or other more sophisticated urban music. This is 2017 not 1977.

I've eaten at Luella's many times and generally had a positive experience. Last night, however, was exceptional. I had their special, a generous pork sandwich topped with pimento cheese (I skipped the jalapenos) and I opted for the roasted Brussels spouts and turnip greens side, and everything was just delicious. I don't know how they prepped the bun, but it was soft and warm and perfect. The hush puppies, as usual, were sweet and tasty. And I have a particular weakness for RC, and Luella's is one of the few places where you can get it. Our server was cheerful and attentive. Outstanding!
