We loved exploring this old castle. The kids enjoyed it and the history is pretty interesting. Make sure you check out the video on the second floor. It is amazing how it was made. Scenic views from the second floor and you are able to rent it for private occasions. Lots of Weddings there.I would not sugfest bringing strollers. Be prepared to carry very young ones up and down steep twisty concrete steps.

A do not miss when in Loveland. An amazing place next to the Little Miami River. We have has many family outings over the years and having the pleasure of meeting Harry amd speaking with them in the 80s before most people even knew about this awesome place. Great for adults and kids alike!

Amazing place to visit! Great staff very helpful and knowledgeable about the castle and the grounds! A beautiful place to vist. I took my two year old and he loved it. Thought is was amazing. There are tours available if you just ask to be shown around. And very well priced!

Took over 50 years to build by one man who worked on it until his death at 91. Self guiding tour with lots to read and a documentary to watch. Took a picnic lunch and ate below the castle by the Miami river. Went in October so the castle inside and out was cool. With $5 entry price this is awesome for those who can appreciate this kind of experience.

Love it. Been twice now. In the summer it is very warm, no air conditioning so be prepared. It is also not handicap accessible, there are many tight winding staircases. Pack a lunch and eat outside after your tour.

Very interesting gem in this area. Amazing story behind this that you definitely need to ask the Knights while you're in there. Steep, narrow stairways in certain areas which can be difficult. Low admission price and plan to return with the kids- I think they will love it!

We drove an hour to go see the castle and the outside didn't disappoint. However, about 75% of the castle was not open for the tour - I think we went into maybe 4-5 rooms. Not sure if the majority was closed for renovation or another reason. The history behind the castle is very interesting and the gardens are beautiful. Don't plan on spending a lot of time here. The seven of us planned on spending several hours here before a 6:00 p.m. dinner elsewhere, but we were in and out in 45 minutes and had to find something else to do before dinner plans. Perhaps there are normally other rooms open and we came on an off day. The story was more interesting that anything and I found the outside construction to be very interesting compared to the inside.

The museum features lovely gardens and a hand built multi-story stone castle. The castle history is featured throughout the facility, in photographs, news articles, and video. Admission was $5 for an adult. It was worth the trip and my daughter really enjoyed it.

We found this gem by accident. Cost was only $5.00 a person. Volunteer staff was very friendly. Castle was made with rocks from nearby Little Miami River. The story behind it was very interesting. My kids (13 & 10) really enjoyed it.

I love European history and as some one who has always wanted to travel but couldn't afford it, this place makes you feel like you are in another country. The owners are full of information about the castle there's games and puzzles as well as a tv explain the detailed history behind the castle. Can't express how beautiful and breathtaking the sight is. All for $5 , completely worth it.

Cute little out of the way castle that I had no idea was there. It's not huge or overly elaborate but it is quaint and quite peaceful right on the little Miami River.

This place isn't super overwhelming, but the story behind the castle makes the trip kind of worth it if you're in the area. Built from the ground up, the original owner laid stone atop stone to make this castle. From the foundation to the doors to the windows, everything was installed by hand. The front door is a charging door meant to withstand an attack on the castle. The whole place lacks central heating, so it can get a little chilly. The castle roof will seem funny as it was built such that more floors could be added. Possibly the coolest thing is that a ghost has inhabited the castle long before the original owner died. Nobody has died in the castle itself, so the ghost comes from the land. Even the past owner didn't wish to be buried at his own castle as a ghost already lived in it.
