GREAT RESTAURANT. had a lovely server, very sweet and made sure we always had refills or whatever we needed. Noticed the other servers working at the same level. Food was quite good. Awesome lodge atmosphere and a cool looking bar. Definitely will be going back.

River Birch Lodge has been a regular go-to for special occasions with family and friends as well as business lunches. The staff is always attentive and friendly and the well varied menu has something for everyone. Indulge in the Bison and Sausage Cream Cheese Dip, you won’t regret it!

First time we've eaten here. Met family and had a blast. Service was awesome! Food was excellent! The decor is beautiful. I felt totally comfortable like I was right at home. Will definitely return when we come North again.

Great food, great atmosphere, great people! The Lodge Burger is really good, and it's pretty affordable for a middle-of-the-week dinner out. The entrees are all superb, and you can definitely make this into a special occasion kind of experience. You'll definitely enjoy the lodge feel and giant fireplaces on a cold winter night. The staff is fantastic and the owners are great people. We're fortunate to have a place like this in Winston!

I've had nothing but great dining experiences at River Birch Lodge. The menu choices are phenomenal and there are enough changes from time to time (seasonal) to keep things interesting. But yet enough regular fare that makes the trip always worthwhile.

Very tender, flavor bursting steak, one might call it "succulent". My girlfriend tried a pasta dish, also quite impressive. The service was 100% spot-on. The setting and atmosphere are unique and stylish. My first visit certainly earned another, and I predict they will impress again.

River Birch lodge has an excellent menu. Over the many times I've visited, the food has always been great as well as the service. The rustic lodge ambiance creates a perfect atmosphere for business lunches or personal dinners.

River Birch was also the perfect location for my Wife and I to host our rehearsal dinner. They have a private room that holds 36 people indoors with access to an outdoor patio. The food and service was exceptional during the dinner.

We wanted to see the leaves and my wife shopped at Dandelion. This was our first trip to Banner Elk, and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The restaurant, the food and cocktails, the chef, and the wait staff were all exceptional. We told all our friends about our wonderful experience. We look forward to our next visit in the spring. . . The atmosphere and decor transports you to a lodge in the Great Smoky Mountains. Staff is very attentive without being overbearing. You have a dedicated server, but the entire staff make sure every tables needs are taken care of. Weekend Brunches are awesome; but don't get there too early on Sunday if you are wanting a Mimosa or Bloody Mary with Brunch.
